Interesting points about the land bank. I would never have thought that investors would buy a storage facility and proceed to change it. Usually we are hearing that REITS are just buying these things up for further expansion.

This is very helpful, guys! I recently purchased 1000m2 (.25 acre) of empty land in an excellent commercial location in a resort town in MX -- just off a major highway, very close to a large, gated golf community and marina. I have already followed some of the suggestions you make in this video: leveled it, installed an appropriate perimeter fence (9m high including 3m razor wire), plan to install solar powered lighting next. I've done the back of the napkin map and my initial idea is to offer it for safe boat, RV, automobile and possibly even construction equipment as there is a lot of construction going on in the area. It sounds that there isn't any reason why not to start offering space (priced per m2?) and see what happens as I research other options such as building storage units, looking for a long term renter (perhaps to build and operate a business on the land themselves), or??? The goal isn't recouping my investment, rather the goal is to generate modest income with low operating costs, at least to get things started. I hope my amateurish plan isn't missing something absolutely critical. Your video puts my mind somewhat at ease. Thanks!
