@@gblock74section29 The customer procedure also doesn't use uconnect. It uses buttons on the key fob, one master key, and the buttons on the door. The manufacture pairing procedure also doesn't use the uconnect at all. It's the hazard lights button. Thieves that are programming keys are using unlocked keys and the accessing the security module through the star connector to pair them. A key fob has to be unlocked to pair to another vehicle. This is done with a scantool. A really funny trick is to buy a bunch of cheap unlocked key fobs, and fill up all the slots on the security module so they can't add another one. There are 8 slots in total. I could be wrong, but this info comes straight from the source, and I have the scantool for it in my garage....

I am shocked that nobody has come to the understanding that these cars are set up this way so they can be easily stolen, and it is an intentional business decision by Dodge. Why, you say? Because if it is stolen, insurance will replace it, so they sell another car. If unsuccessful, there will be damaged parts that must be purchased from Dodge; either way, they make more money. These stupid push-button starting setups cost far more for them to install than a simple, reliable key, so tell me, how does this make any sense?

you can beat a club in less than 5 seconds. just use a cordless saw or angle grinder and make 2 cuts in the steering wheel and remove a half inch of the wheel and bye bye club.

Hidden kill switch w remote is your friend. They gotta tow it to steal it. Little tip on the Destroyer plate, use lock screws and not standard screws.

The thing he doesn't show you is that you can access two "secret" menus: 1.) Hold both driver-side temperature buttons at the same time for 5-7 seconds and the menu should open. 2.) Hold both driver-side temperature and front defrost button at the same time for 5-7 seconds and the menu should open. Enjoy!

That’s what my dealer told me as well and to replace it the price is $1000 not including labor. It locks the pcm to the keys that were already programmed. I just got my 2021 updated but I’m hoping what they told me is right. At least there is somebody else that was told the same thing.

Wow. My friend who was during security the other night said someone (who got their Trackhawk stolen on Thanksgiving) got tipped of that someone was looking at his car (he got the Trackhawk back and that’s what they were looking at.. 99.99% sure they were eyeing both TH and HC) so he went downstairs and walked passed his car like it wasn’t his car obviously (they got spooked). Then, as I saw on camera, he came downstairs and told the guard (my friend) there were people looking at his car and by the time he went upstairs (maybe a minute?!) the glass from the Hellcat was on the floor and the car was gone. Midtown area of Atlanta btw. Go figure.

If the car has battery, I believe in these dodge cars they can still press the start button and get lights up but can’t start the car without reprogramming first

I feel like they do it on purpose for financial reasons to keep them in business and I’m the biggest dodge fan I’ve had a 2011 challenger it was my dream car (it’s on my insta) and it lived up to my expectations and then so much more drive like a fuckn boat I love it. And my dodge magnum I had that was my baby for so so long I was sad to see her go. Basically I say this so no one thinks I just hate dodge cause I’m genuinely the biggest fan of dodge and mopar vehicles. What I hate is ford lol except the mustang series anyways I feel like company’s do things like this for financial security and gain it’s about keeping the rich guy rich. And dodge definitely ain’t gonna lose Costomers cause it’s dodge they’re a multi billion dollar company and more than dodge like Hondas and Tesla and gmc and Audis and so many more I feel like they do this small things on purpose sometimes probably not intentionally but yeah if a genuine mistake is a fr mistake I understand that for sure no hatred or whatever it’s a serious accident but yeah that’s my opinion on the matter.
