“It is education, education for us all, that remains the beginning of the circle which in
turn will enable us to create the change we wish.”
Oscar is an activist for education and inclusivity and has been a One Young World Ambassador since 2014. His first Summit inspired him to create an impact to prevent disability; he pitched his idea to Reckitt to develop material concerning neo-natal jaundice, how to recognise it, and what to do about it. Project Oscar launched in Vietnam in 2019 and has since impacted tens of thousands of families in rural areas, providing timely treatment on the spot to prevent damage to the nervous system in newborn babies due to jaundice.
Watch his speech to learn more about the role of his work and education in his journey.
