The Latin roots in the Philippines, particularly in Cebu cannot be overstated. Manila was effectively a Spanish city until the Japanese massacred them in 1944. Cebu was settled by hundreds of Spanish families and were spared by Japan, the Latin roots run deep still with Cebuanos.

Thai-Japanese Treaty, 1940 This treaty has an important content: it confirms that both Thailand and Japan remain close allies. and will respect each other's territorial integrity which means They will not invade each other's territory. They also agree to share information and discuss issues important to both sides. In addition, if either side is attacked by a third party, The other party will never help the attacker. If Thailand fought, it would be like China. This is how Thailand is best: Diplomacy.

It's a shame we don't have people that reflect the air, water, trees, animals around them anymore since globalisation and certain immigration policies. 8:30 Wrong information here. The White Rajah of Sarawak was not under the British rule. Sarawak was then a sovereign nation and unlike european power, the Brooke family actually helps to industrialised the country, not for exploitation. During that time Sarawak is only a protectorate country, which means while it is independent and free to control it's own resources, being a British protectorate gives Sarawak army security as well as representing them in external affairs. Colony on the other hand means that British are free to exploit local resources which wasn't the case. Only in the 1940s is Sarawak occupied by the Japanese and British. More info: Before the Japanese occupation, the White Rajah wanted to give back the land to the people after a hundred years of ruling. However, as the war broke out, it totally ruined the economy of Sarawak. This leads to the Brooke secceeding Sarawak to the British government to help regain some of it's economy back before giving the country independence. By the 1960s, Sarawak got it's independence by the British Colony after years of establishing their self governance.
@0900370pian
@0900370pian 17 күн бұрын
Rajah Brooke ceded not seceding Sarawak to the British Crown. Wrong choice of word there bro. Anyway, becoming a protectorate of British or other colonial powers back then means that you no longer have full sovereignty. Sure the British recognized Sarawak as "independent" nation under Brooke but we all know Rajah of Sarawak cannot establish foreign relationship with other countries except with permission from the British government. A sovereign nation should have total freedom to establish foreign relationship but that's not the case for Sarawak. Nonetheless, Sarawak did enjoy autonomy from the British. Like you stated, this somewhat prevent the British to exploit Sarawak's resources but not fully. Case in point the oil discovery in Miri in early 1900s. The rights for oil exploration were later given to Anglo-Saxon Oil Company in 1909 (later became a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell in the same year).

Sabah belongs to the Philippines though. Diplomatic notes during the Spanish American conflict, multiple protests before 1963, and continuous representations made because a contract exists with Malaysia paying the heirs of the Sultan until modern times, showing the sovereignty lay with them which was transferred to the Philippine government in the 1970s. Malaysia will now pretend this does not exist by reneging on contracts made with the heirs of the Sultan of Sulu, how honorable is that compared to what Russia does with western territories it covets. A disgrace to their fellow Muslims in the Sultan of Sulu.

Free what exactly? Because in a civilized kingdom, the people make a pact with the king, which is to give up certain freedoms for cultivation and military protection. What does Thai and Siam even mean anyway? There is no philosophical meaning behind them. At least the word Cambodia can be traced back to Sanskrit which is an Indo-European language and be interpreted as the “Coming-Bodhi” like me, or the word Kamboja which means the “Coming Bodhi-born. Or the word Khmer which is a shortened form of “Khemera” and is related to Greek “chimera” which is a 3-in-1 Trinity mythical animal being, basically a dragon.

@@jittapootowasakun1960 In the battle between good versus evil or democracy versus monarchy, if Siamese twins are conjoint identical twins, which is unique-born but not normal, then wouldn’t it make sense that fraternal twins are called Cambodhi (Coming-Bodhi) twins or Khmer (3-in-1 Trinity-born Chimera) twins since they are also unique, but normal like the birth of the very first two genders on Earth? Siamese twins will represent both Thailand and Vietnam and fraternal twins will represent Cambodia (Hansel and Gretel, Apollo and Artemis, or Osiris and Isis). I remember growing up in Brooklyn, NY as a Coming-Bodhi (Cambodhi) fraternal twin that I am at the age of 3 being excited to go see the freak show in Coney Island that had Siamese Twins on display. I’m a natural born binary devil divine fraternal twin who is a Coming-Bodhi (Cambodian) from an exclusive, hierarchical Atlantis-like Kingdom after all. It’s my job to segregate and divide.

The Dutch attempted to invade Manila, but they were defeated by natives who were convinced by the Spaniards to fight the unChristian invaders. When the Filipinos successfully thwarted a Dutch invasion, they did not credit any of the people who actually fought them, but gave the credit to themselves and the Virgin Mary: Nuestra Señora de la Naval de Manila.

bear in mean the term "colonialism" had no proper meaning, it is not always about moral. it simply put the christian did something bad to the world that barely know what Christianity is or the world that science not yet studied. it makes Europe look less civilized than the rest of the world, same thing with how atheism/scientist fights against religious authority or politician, or how Europe fighting Islam today. so if we against colonialism I have to against their golden age.

West Papua is a victim of OUR governments and ongoing illegal conduct of UN employees. Because the UN Secretary General had been killed and replaced by Indonesia's Burmese friend U Thant, on 21st September 1962 our governments voted to give the new UN Secretary General U Thant permission to invade West Papua and appoint Indonesia as the current administrator. Our governments were using article 85 part 1 of the UN Charter to authorise this; article 85 part 2 requires that the Secretary General tell the UN Trusteeship Council about the trusteeship agreement ('New York Agreement') so that the Council can then begin its article 87 & 88 duties making yearly UN reports to protect & promote independence of the colony (West Papua). In violation of the UN Charter, U Thant never told the Trusteeship Council; and nor have any of the subsequent Secretary Generals. IF UN employees were honest, they would insist on revealing General Assembly resolution 1752 invasion & subjugation of West Papua to the UN Trusteeship Council, to whom they should have reported it in 1962.
