I can't remember exactly when, but he does. it might be that the name Abuela is used by the entire family to refer to her because she's a grandmother, or like how parents will sometimes say "grandma" when referring to their own parents because they're talking to their kid.

In our country, it sounds disrespectful to call their parents "grandma", unless their doing it to teach their child what to say to their grandma.. but the thing is, Bruno was only 5 here, so calling him Abuela while abuela still doesn't have grandchildren is wrong.

One headcanon is that there are fireworks at every door ceremony thing and so Dolores actually deaf In one ear because of the fireworks at her ceremony. Because she has super hearing it didn’t effect her so much but she covers her ears just from that incident. Also I love Bruno’s
