Theory: She always wanted to be the queen from when she was younger, she just knew shed never get it in a humane way so she made herself seem like a villainous girlboss but when she wouldve gotten her dream, she wouldve been the best and nicest queen ever because she got what she wanted. The minions just got in her way and made her seem like a complete psycho. Thats why she appreciated the small crown at the ending because it made her feel like a queen in a way.
