That white drink you've seen in the supermarket is called Ayran :') you generally drink it while eating food (Doner...etc). I absolutely loved it! it's quite similar to a drink we have here in Algeria but the texture is different

Ankara is my hometown, so i feel what home means every inches of it. However, kızılay is more cheaper and a bit dirty part of the city. You could visit tunalı hilmi.. that part is way modern than kızılay. Goverment is changing the kızılay’s view..

But jason you have gone to average expensive places in these places. you could have gone to slightly cheaper places or you could have bought the schmit from street sellers, it's around 1,25 liras which is in pound, almost nothing. but we as citizens of this country, here is extremely expensive but we used to happy and wealthier than current, anyways. have nice trip btw.

You should take buses while you in Ankara as a tourist. It costs same with metro. Metro Ankara is unfinished project. We hope it will be completed someday. I like your videos. I watched every one of them. Visiting Ankara is the last thing the tourists would do in Turkey. Generally they came Istanbul, two days stayed there and then flight to Antalya, Bodrum or Cesme. I suggest you visit Canakkale(Dardanelle) and Gelibolu(Gallipoli).

hi, simit is not pronounced like she-mitt, it's pronounces si mitt, si as it's in do re mi fa sol la "si" or as letter C sounds in the English alphabet'song ABC :) and second syllable mit sounds as in baseball mitt. You have to think like 1₺ = 1€ for a Turkish person. We are going in a crazy economical inflation-situation these days, minimum wage is 2000₺, unemployment rates skyrocketed (around 15% !), food prices doubles each year bla bla bla...(I can write 40 pages long "what's going wrong on Turkey" lol) Sadly it is not a cheap place for us.:(
