Also, I would like to stay with a family to experience the culture but I couldn't have found a place so Airbnb might be the way to go any recommendation on budgeting for 22 days.... all the best from Panama

I've lived in Ankara for 24 years but I'm from Yorkshire UK, not the friendliest city in the world and not the prettiest too its cheap for foreigners but for Turkish people, food is expensive and everything else!

You have to think like 1₺ = 1€ for a Turkish person. We are going in a crazy economical inflation-situation these days, minimum wage is 2000₺, unemployment rates skyrocketed (around 15% !), food prices doubles each year bla bla bla...(I can write 40 pages long "what's going wrong on Turkey" lol) Sadly it is not a cheap place for us.:(
