Great Video, also video idea when the series goes on break again: Analyzing every girlfriend to see if they’re a tsundere. Also my personal count of tsunderes GFs is 5 as of this chapter, with them being Inda Karane, Haraga Kurumi, Meido Mai, Hifumi Suu, and Dei Matsuri. Some chapters I think would be useful are 114, 123, and 159. I believe that Karane, Mai, Suu, and Matsuri are both subtypes of Tsunderes with Karane being an Tsun-aho, Mai and Suu being Tsundoras, and Matsuri being a Deretsun and Tsuntere Also Tsun-pure and Tsunshun are things but I don’t think any girlfriend introduced so far is one of them.

I've proposed the (probably novel) term _pekodere_ for Kurumi: by replacing the 'tsun tsun' onomatopoeia with the 'peko peko' onomatopoeia for hungriness, you get someone who can't be 'dere' unless she's recently eaten. Matsuri definitely fits the straight man role that the tsunderes fill, but I don't think she's particularly tsun herself.

@@redzoomer483 hrm - I do see what you're saying. To explain my position, I'd kind of lean towards thinking that most of Matsuri's tsun-like behavior has just been her reacting in the context of feeling like the things she loves were being disrespected: festivals by Rentarou in her intro, her yakisoba by Chiyo in the next chapter, and Himeka when she was yelling at that guy on Twitter. In contrast, I don't feel like we got any tsun at all in the Infinity Festival chapter. So I feel like what seems like tsun is mostly her Shitamachi (Cockney) coarseness and the degree to which she is a tsukkomi.

@@unsoundmethodology Yeah, I get what you’re saying, however I believe that when Tsunderes aren’t standard Tsunderes (except Tsun-ahos) they’re hard to spot. Also I feel like I should explain what a Tsuntere is too. They’re tsundere characters who become embarrassed around their love interest and then act harshly towards them because of it. They have difficulty expressing their feelings of affection due to their embarrassment so they verbally lash out at their love interest instead. Also I would recommend rereading page 11 and 19 of chapter 164.

Yeah the essay kind of fizzled out due to not finding a proper structure in the script to discuss the topics I wanted to. Then the weekly chapter reviews took off in popularity, so I focused and used my time to do those instead. Though with this new "break week" video series that I kind of started with this. I could probably talk about the various topics I wanted to in smaller videos than one giant long one during the breaks that the manga goes on. Thanks for the support by the way! -Moon
