Every time they showed the display, it was in ECO. That's not a bad thing, but several times he said he was in level 1 or 2. I know that with my Juiced bike, I can easily maintain 18-20 mph on the level in ECO (maybe not for 100 miles...), and I'm 75 years old.

@@Biktrix So.... I'm riding a 2019 Trek Powerfly LT 7 Plus. I ride All Mountain/Enduro style. Going to be looking for an upgrade in the next year. Obviously I ride on Van Isle. Looking for something unrestricted and more powerful. Range isn't a huge concern. I put max 60km on a day but suspension travel (150-160mm), weight (sub 45-50lbs) and durability are my focus points. Haven't seen many or any Biktrix out there. Wondering what you have that might fit the bill.

Offtopic, I got similar ebike with 26x4.00 tyres and I inflate to almost max pressure. Have been working fine, 4000+ km before rear tyre needed changing. In winter (snow, ice) I recommend using studded tyres both front and rear.

I'm wasting money filling up my car and my motorcycle so I got a 3kw electric motorcycle.. range lasts me about a week's worth of riding in town Great Value not gonna ie

The problem with these bikes is that they weigh 80+ lbs, and handle like a tank. That's 30 lbs more than my Specialized Vado 3.0, with which I can go about 120 km on one charge. Might as well just get a motorcycle rather than a Biktrix if you want to travel 100's of kilometers.
@Biktrix Жыл бұрын
If we reduce the power of this bike to same as Specialized, it'll get 100s of km of range.

I just did 86km with 17ah+14ah batteries on a hub duo 27.5x3, averaging a bit under 30 km/h with a lot of pedaling, had 15% left at the end (but the percentage left on ebikes is extremely unreliable, the battery was likely much lower). 160km with 39ah, if possible, is an absolute best case scenario under perfect conditions, super babying the battery and pedaling like Lance Armstrong.

@@Biktrix It's just hard to believe a test done by the company. With video editing and behind the camera stuff, anything you say can be possible. Just a personal view on it. That being said, it's not like I'll ever be able to afford a bike like this so no need to worry. This is like a sports car to my budget.
@mikeforrest59122 жыл бұрын
There was almost 50Ah of battery, narrower tires were put on, tires were over inflated and they waited for a day that was favorable for winds. They were very upfront and detailed and exposed on this. They have a reputation that has value; reviewers that get free bikes, paid or have other financial interests couldn't do a better job of it. I likely can't afford such a bike but so what, a l of people can.

@@Biktrix That ebike is not a cross country bike in the first place, and was never built to be used as "A CROSS COUNTRY BIKE". Just because you break laws doesn't mean everyone else dose. And again while you try to avoid the reality of this initial first statement from me here in this post, most people live in and around real hills and changing elevations just to go to work or the store, let alone a long day trip out just for fun around town or the county side. You tested in a completely flat situation, not realistic of real world distances for an ebike to most people. Your situation is only 100% best case scenario. Your video is mute when exploring this ebike for real world mileage use.

Perhaps you should do some research before accusing us of breaking laws. Most highways here in SK allow electric assist bikes. Here is the rule book if you care to read: thecce.org/canada/sk/saskatchewan-traffic-safety-act/ We tested range in our hometown where we are.
