I have also asked this question. I reloaded this save to keep looking haha only uploadrd the video so i could show someone the conversation. I made it pretty far into act 2 and havent been forced to interact yet. expecting to do the shart quests soon and see if it forces it. it might be anticlimatic and just never mention it
