I've always wanted to track my distance when going round and round cutting a hay field on the tractor. This video gives shows me how far I actually travel! It was a lot more than I thought.

How many round bales will you get. The grass didn't seem that tall, but we are going into fall. Enjoyed the video. Thanks.

It was pretty pathetic, around 37 I believe. Usually can get 70+ but we’ve been in the biggest drought in over a decade…

Just found your channel today, may I ask where y'all live and do you use all your cattle for beef? I live in NE Tennessee and my momma done all our cattle buying plus she bought for other farms in the area. We Angus, Charolais, Hereford,Sanacatrutus? And Brahma bulls(2). Those were the days.

That field looks pretty smooth can you run any faster than 6 mph? I like to cut at 7.5 to 8 mph if the ground will let me. Good video! I've wondered the same thing...

You’re mowing in C gear? I normally run in D2/3.

D3 in this tractor would be like 15mph lol

@@TheFarmGuy isn’t that a 6150M with a 24 speed transmission? You were only going 5.4 mph. The D range for 2/3 is 6.7/8.9 mph. To get to 15 mph you’d have to mow in E range.

@@ajskab99 yes you’re right. I was thinking I was in the 7420. Been a few nights since then

@@TheFarmGuy I’ve been looking for a 6150M or 6155M. They’ve gone up so much in the last year. I’d keep that 7420 for as long as you can. No way you could replace it for what you bought it for.
