Currently it is as dry in east-Germany as it as where you are. Some fields are already burning... Meanwhile west-Germany was facing havy rain with more than 150 liters per square meter, which is twice the rain of a whole month. Hundreds of people died in the floodings and currently hundrets of farmers and other voluntairs are helping out there. I guess rain is as bad distributed as money...

Hi Gang! You have some TOP OF THE LINE haying equipment!! My first experience with balers was in 1950. Our neighbor bought an International baler that produced 40-60 pound bales tied with string. Prior to that we and he shocked hay, and or bundled it. I didn't enjoy haying one bit! We had a lot of rattle snakes in our area, and of course they sought the cool shade under the bales!..... Had to be CAREFUL!!! Ever once in awhile, a snake was run through the baler, and survived, and was sticking out of the bale! BOY,.... THEY were all kinds of PISSED OFF!!! A long handled sharp hoe was part of your haying equipment!, along with leather gloves and hay hooks. Love your videos and commentary! Best Wishes, and GOD BLESS!

Hi there from Athabasca, Alberta, Canada about 2 hrs north of the provincial capital, Edmonton. We run about 130 mixed cattle bred to purebred red Angus & hay approximately 300-400 ac. grass/alfalfa mix depending on weather. We had a good wet spring with plenty of rain but haven't had much rain either in last 5 wks. Volume of hay in the fields is down to other years. We did get 6/10's of an inch rain 4 days ago. So far we have put it all up dry. We can do single wrapped haylage bales if necessary. Hoping & praying you get rain there soon. God bless. From the Parmley's 🇨🇦

Perspective is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. Ya'll been working on a farm all your lives more than likely, and do a lot of work that is not shown. I consider ya'll luckier then most because, yes it is hard work, ya'll get to witness the hardships and miracles of mother nature. You get to enjoy the good and the bad. A lot of people have to work inside of a building or facility for years of their careers and are never touched by rain, snow, or sunshine. Doing what ya'll do is more than a blessing to the everyone around you, it's a blessing of, and to, life. I only wish that I had been luck enough to be able to do what ya'll have done, instead of the career that I had. You and your family are very blessed. God Bless You

I live on the Monarch migration route in Ohio. I had a cubic, metric crap-ton of common milkweed. And I used to have massive quantities of butterflies. I used to keep an acre or so fallow just for milkweed for the butterflies. Gave away the seeds for kids to grow their own. I could walk out in the field and several fresh hatchlings would land on me cause the trees were already 3 deep. Or maybe I just look like a tree. Or maybe a 1/2 hour old monarch cant navigate worth a crap. But the last 4 years or so I only see maybe 1 or 2 monarchs all season. Sad.

Just got back from the annual trip to the Farmstead in North Dakota. Several old trees down, soil hard/dry. Made digging out the buffalo grass away from the foundation that much harder, & I never made it all the way around the house (left the sticker weeds on the north side!). A neighbor I contacted for mowing came and mowed the exposed grass, then raked and baled most of it. He got 2 bales before quitting (he'll get to use those for his animals later this year) and took loose grass home that he didn't have time to bale before he was needed elsewhere.) He'll cut up the downed trees later this year to make more room for cutting next spring, and when he knows when we'll be returning, he'll mow for 'lawn'...wowie, I almost can hardly wait! We've never seen 'lawn' in decades, because my brother-in-law normally mows the grass with the riding mower (which my Mom gave to the neighbor this trip), resulting in just the brown under layer. It never has time to green-up before we have to leave.---We got one thunder shower, didn't amount to much, but at least I got to see it!---And, d/t the smoky haze from the Canadian wildfires, we always had fire-red sunrises and sunsets, and fire-red moon rises. But, it kept the temps down a bit (humidity was still up tho'). Only 3 mosquitos because of the dryness, but plenty of grasshoppers in all sizes and colors! Lots of biting flies. Only 1 tic.---I loved your drone shots, and knew your rain was coming!

Corrective Criticism: The fire extinguisher you pointed to in your video was the incorrect extinguisher for a grass fire but I have a feeling you know that. A Class A fire extinguisher (water can) should be attacked to any and all machines when the probability of grass fire is high. You will be surprised how much fire can be knocked down when using a water can correctly. A finger over the tip of the nozzle will fan out the water. Attack the base of the fire with a sweeping motion. I love walking into a full involved structure fire with just a water can while the engine is in the process of being supplied with a 6" water line from the hydrant and well before the 2" or 2 1/2" lines are charged and are entering the front door. It's truly is amazing as to how much fire can be knocked down with a water can and a little bit of knowledge. Best wishes guys... Thanks again for feeding America 🇺🇸

I'll be here next time to see how you're going to top the drone footage and milk weed story. Praying you get rain!

God Bless you Brother your Dad reminds me of my Dad a lot and I love his words every time! Thanks for working extra hard in the heat and while you don’t feel very good from your knee I’m sorry Brother I had 3 surgeries on my knee and I was able to get an abundance of multiple pain meds during that time. It’s good to be safe about meds but it’s important to be able to have some during extreme times for the strain on your heart from the pain. It’s important for your heart health to not be squirming in pain. Be safe and focus on things that distract you well until it’s better and absolutely do not push too hard and destroy more like I did exactly. ❤️😏🖖🏼🇺🇸

Killer drone footage! Something relaxing watching the baler and accumulator work. So much easier than stacking small squares on the hay wagon and up in the loft for my Grandfather when I was a teenager in the 80's. 😎👍 〽️
