HOW FAR does JBL PARTYBOOST reach ??? TEST

Comparing the JBL PartyBoost feature against JBL Connect+. Which one is better?
PartyBoost is the newer feature and it is not compatible with the older Connect+. But is PartyBoost also better? Let us find out!!!
We are connecting a Pulse4 with a Flip5, which both have the new PartyBoost. On the other hand we connect the Pulse3 with a Flip4, loch both have Connect+.
We are testing how far we can place the two speakers apart from each other until the connection drops.
Let us find out which feature is the better one!

Nice! Awesome video. I was using connect + on my boombox 1 for a while but it never could keep a strong connection to my xtreme 2.0. Recently I sold the boombox to a friend and got the camo boombox 2. Very happy with my purchase. I had the first boombox since it’s debut and I’m excited for all the adventures my new speaker will endeavor.

I prefer the connect plus. Because I have already have 3x flip 4s 2x charge 4s and a extreme 2. Is a short range of the old speakers no need to up grading of my old speakers.

With partyboost, mine will disconnect from each other after around 20-30 minutes leaving only the master one playing. Do you have this issue as well?

It has happened to me before. But not very often. Does this happen to you all the time?

MegaSafetyFirst yes I have 2 flip 5s and they disconnect after around 30 min. This happens frequently. I also bought a 3rd one to make sure it wasn’t a defective speaker and it also does it. I’d be curious if your flip 5s do this after a longer session of being connected? And if so, then maybe longer sessions with pulse 4 does this rarely compared to the Flip 5?

But, how many pulse 4 speakers can I connect (sync) simultaneously? With Pulse 3 you can connect up to 100 speakers, how about this PartyBoost tech?

I think you can connect up to a thousand speakers with partyboost. I heard it somewhere so i am not sure but you can definitely connect much more speakers together simultaneously.

That was a good test. I got 2 of the Pulse 4's in my bedroom about 9 feet apart and in party mode they will play some but then stop and start and stutter sometimes. The only way to fix it I found was put them both on Bluetooth to the same Transmitter. Then the stereo don't work. They are only 9 feet apart in my room the party mode don't work good like that at least in little bedroom.

Wie, that is really surprising to hear. I’d expect to work within the 9ft range without a problem. Are there other devices close by that disturb the Bluetooth signal, like a WiFi router?
