Hi. Really good video! I currently have a boom 2 (which I love!) However sometimes when I am outside I find myself wanting more volume/sound. If I increase the volume to 100% the sound isn't that great so I like to keep it on about 80% to get a good balance but as I said it sometimes just isn't loud enough when i'm working outside. One of my local stores has an amazing deal on the Megaboom and also the Boom 2 so I was thinking about getting in on the good price and purchasing a second speaker. So I have a few questions for you - Would two speakers running together be a lot louder/worthwhile for outdoors? What sound could I expect from two running together? And also if I was to get a second speaker to run with my Boom 2 would you suggest another Boom 2 or a Megaboom? Hope you can help :)

On Sony xb’s pairing mode when pump the volume up or down it does on only 1 speaker, on the second you must equal the volume by hand. On these volume go equal on the two at the same time?, If yes I will return my xb’s I just received 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

As I understand it, you don't need the app to connect to set up the Party Up function. Just press and hold the Bluetooth and plus volume button on the host speaker until you hear the pairing bongo sound, then double click the Bluetooth button on any nearby speakers to hop into the Party Up zone.

Using partyup with a Hyper Boom and a Megaboom3. The Megaboom3 distorts out using the partyup feature. Very frustrating to hear considering I've been told this feature is great.

Can you use "PartyUp" multi speaker mode if the sound source is from the aux 3.5mm input? I ask this because there are a few applications where the low latency is crucial. Bluetooth introduces 250ms of latency, which is too much for live music (like playing a keyboard). 10-20ms that you get from the aux input is useable for this purpose, but I wonder if you can use Stereo mode, or link up 50 speakers. Have you tested this, or could you? And is there a way to determine the latency with this set up?

how well do they work when spread around a room with a bunch of people in it? my winder booms when too much people are walking in between them start cutting in and out. i wonder with three or more of these does it make the connection even harder to maintain when there is people freely walking around the room. i would not set them up all right next to each other because what is the point of that.

My 2 cents added for 40$ the Dknight BIG MAGIC BOX Gets as loud as one ue mega boom and it does not distort at max volume. I did alot of research on affordable bluetooth speakers under 50$ I own both UE and Dknight Big magicbox its well well worth it on amazon

Any idea if double up using aux cable would work? 1) Connect one end of the AUX cable to iPod 3.5mm jack and the other end of the cable to the megaboom (this works good) 2) Then, turn on my second megaboom and Pair it in double-up mode with the first megaboom (without using the app). What happens when i complete step 2 is that both speakers get very choppy and take turns playing the sound (extremely choppy). Is this expected to work properly or is what i'm experiencing normal? any idea?

To use it as a normal stereo system or as something throughout your house. When I was a student I lived in a building with other students (about 35, sometimes more, sometimes less). At the time these products weren't really a thing, but quite often we had a party that went on throughout the building. So today, linking all our UE Booms would be perfect. At a normal house, I guess this could be an alternative to multi-room solutions like that of Sonos, Sony or Chromecast. None of those work through true wireless speakers (so without powercables). At least, as far as I know, Sony's portable options don't support it... EDIT: A couple of Sony's portable speakers do support it (Chromecast Audio as well as Sony's own protocol that has certain equalizer options as it's main advantage). So maybe there are other solutions as well.

tufeo92 Then that person buys just one. It's just a feature. You don't have to use it if you don't have any need for it. Logitech just provides you with the option to use it like a multiroom-kinda speaker up to something crazy like how I could have used it in the past. In my current house (duplex two apartments connected) I use a Chromecast-based setup. But this could work for me as well. In that case I'd need at least 5 of them.

I don't quite know what to think of this speaker.. All the features are nice and it is pretty loud, but the battery life is weak and the sound is pretty terrible.. IMO it's very overhyped and overpriced. The 360 degree sound isn't quite as good as people think and the Bluetooth range isn't 100 feet, more like 70. The 360 degree sound doesn't work because: If you stand in front of the speaker (where the volume buttons are), you'll get some stereo separation, but the sound lacks clarity due to the lack of tweeters. And when you stand directly in front of one driver, the whole stereo separation is gone, and the boosted highs start sounding pretty harsh. Further, there's no bass in this speaker, it hardly reaches deeper than 90 Hz. And yes, it is loud, but that's just because they made the amp stronger, so it sounds like crap high volumes. No bass left, lots of intermodulation distortion. Then there's the EQ in the app.. that doesn't work. First, there's only 5 EQ bands, which isn't close to enough. Second, the lowest band is only 150 Hz? You can hardly call that bass. They probably did that because they already knew that the speaker cannot reach deep at all. So yeah, this thing is overhyped and overpriced.
