I'm just curious to hear your opinions, if you want the same lyrics, what's the point in having covers? I get that the singers voice and tone all play a role in changing a song to suit them and have artistic individualism if one chooses the change that, but isn't it totally okay for the artist sing the song they way they want to change the perspective and, possibly, the overall meaning of the song? Changing daughter to son would have been weird here and I get why he didn't do it whether is a 'real man' or not (whatever that means), but I don't personally see the issue of changing pronouns or titles for the sake of having fun with a song and making it your own?

Hey Caleb... i just have to tell you, how you kinda changed my life with your covers ;) I am a genderqueer trans* person and am on testosterone for a year now, so my voice is changing significantly. I sing Disney songs as long as i can remember and got really frustrated lately, that i can`t sing the songs anymore, that touch me the most... always trying to sing along to very high female voices didn`t work out very well cause I´m not a trained singer and still have to understand, how to sing in my new, my "male" voice (wich is waaaaaaay more difficult than I thought).
