1:31 This is my favorite thing that Caleb does; when he brings his voice up a whole octave to not only shock first time listeners who only thought he could do low notes, but also to emphasize the emotion and energy of whatever he’s singing. A jack of all trades singing key.

This may be an odd kind of question, but for a teen like me (!7 years old), how can someone practice trying to get better at high notes by themselves? I just tried, and found that I can sing as low as E3, and up to C6, although getting that high is a little shaky, but manageable. I've only had about 1 year of actual training (High school Chorus class), and was lead singer in the male section, and could sing pretty well, but when the final came around, I chose a song that was a little too above my range, and at one certain part, had to stop before I strained my voice (The song was Hell to your Doorstep from the Count of Monte Cristo musical). So maybe a few tips, cause I've always been trying my best to sing high parts, and found that over time, it is getting a easier little by little, but it always gets a little nasally. If you can reply, or maybe someone else with equal experience, that would honestly make me really happy.

I think what really gets me with this is that you put so much character into it. You didn't *just* sing the song, but you practically made it your own. I can envision an animated male character singing this, I can envision a scene to go with this, there is just so much life to your performance. And when you sing, "I'm Free", can we just talk about that vibrato? Like.. please? It was just so clean and... so good.

@ryanjordan70759 жыл бұрын
+Spectre the Espeon This guy sang F2-Eb5, which is just shy of 3 octaves. Jordan Smith sang D3-Ab5, which is 2.5 octaves, thus, smaller than this guy's range. Adam Levine demonstrates a very wide studio vocal range (F#2-Bb5), but I doubt his actual live performance range is as wide. All of these facts aside, having a wide range doesn't necessarily make someone a great singer.
@jailbirb15159 жыл бұрын
Ryan Jordan I'm not saying that anyone's a bad singer, but have you listened to any of either person's covers? Jordan Smith sounds amazing and so does Caleb Hyles. And before you bring up money and autotune, autotune is usable through simple editing and money is easy to get.

If I was a guy your voice is the voice I would want 😍 your talent with pitch and voice control is amazing! I would definitely want your voice over all others in way of male voices!

No I totally agree ! I am a boy and I want his voice !! x) Couldn't he give a little portion of his talent to all of us ? No really, I dream of having at least a quarter, even an eighth or a sixteenth of his voice control hahaha ! :D

Purely awesome set of vocals you have man. Sweet cover, and very cool to hear a male sing it with some punch. You have that "rocker" voice !

There’s a sort of heartfelt quality that arises when I hear Caleb Hyles singing. Not sure what to call it, but it is tender an warm an comfortable.

Holy Shit...A guy singing this who's not a tenor! Give him all awards.
@tinalyragade11 жыл бұрын
What? This guy is tenor for sure, man. A guy not being tenor would never reach this high notes to keep the melody. If you listen closely, he does the highest pitches much better than the "dark"
@Jtownschannel11 жыл бұрын
Tina g I can reach those notes and I'm not a tenor.
@SHA8UTIE11 жыл бұрын
Joss Town A lot of people can reach the notes... that is not what it is about. The body and quality and tone of the note is definitely close to that of a tenor.
@Gredran11 жыл бұрын
Yes a million times! I feel left out as a bass-baritone sometimes singing... But I tried singing this in the original key and it's relatively comfortable in my range :)
