Good, informative and practical video. Funny to hear the pegs scraping on those twisties. Pretty soon you won't have any metal parts south of the tank ha ha!! Judging from your riding it's a pretty easy going pace meaning your not that heavy on the throttle. How "hard and heavy" a person is on the throttle is a huge factor in determining MPG. Still, the range is pretty impressive for such small tank.

Thank you! The lean angle of this Bobber is pretty crazy, I actually just replaced the lean pegs 2 weeks ago since I wore the factory ones out. Riding style indeed makes the biggest impact on MPGs. I am happy to see these numbers with my riding style, 58.74mpg average is not bad at all.

I feel with such pattern of driving i think total i would cover is 111 -115 miles max, probably next week i would try something similar, again in my part of world we end up using clutch more .

I would definitely go out and try it for yourself. I feel much better knowing this now. I will ride into the fuel light a lot more.

@@Atopper did multiple round last few days and the average i found bike can run 140miles with last drop of petrol. But one imp thing i found was even trip meter showing 0miles left still the tank had 1 liter of petrol left which is quite handy on a worst case scenario

That’s what I have heard. I do plan on completing running out of gas with the new gearing and see if there is a difference and what it is.

Ran my Street Twin dry once, good times in a good test. They read maybe a mile or two off but are close enough to listen too. When they’re out of gas, you’d best be close to a station. 😅

That’s good to know! I wanted to run out of fuel but ran out of light first. With the new gearing I want to do this ride again and see how much it changed.

Nice test. My 900 Scrambler gets 45mpg or so, with a 4 gal tank. Best mpg has been 50, riding casual up on the highway.,

I own a brand new 2024 Triumph Bobber with a 12 liter (3,2 gal) tank. Last night the fuel light came on a 151 km! The range is MUCH less than advertised. How much reserve (volume and distance) can I expect after the fuel light comes on? Again, this motorcycle has a 12L tank.
@Atopper
@Atopper 10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately normally advertised is full take at 55mph till empty. Start/ stop & city riding will kill mpg. When my light comes on I normally have around 35miles(55km) left. My Bobber says I get 60.9mpg always. Do you have any modifications to the power train?

The 2017-2022 Bobbers have the 2.4gallon tanks. A lot of people fit a Speedmaster tank to get I think 3.6gallon or now you can do the new Bobber tank. I personally like the 2.4 look and this range doesn’t bother me.

Great Video! How does the 360 work exactly? Meaning, it is always recording in 360 or just on turns it switches to 360?

Thank you! I have it set to record 360 all the time. Then just pull clips after I do the framing I want to use. It was a rough learning curve for me at first after only using GoPro beforehand.

I can maybe get 120, but I will be on zero. Far more often, I am looking at 100. Painting a Speedmaster tank now, so I can stop carrying emergency fuel on my favorite ride that is 110 between stations. Took the Bobber on a 1500 mile, all back road road trip with a Harley. Literally had to plan the entire trip around the remote fuel stations. Triumph going to the slightly larger tank makes all the difference for anything other than just local rides.
@Atopper
@Atopper Жыл бұрын
Isn’t the Speedmaster 3.6? I’ve seen them done before. Just the size difference turns me away from them. Once I start doing more long distance trips I may change my mind.
@Oldman_Taylor
@Oldman_Taylor Жыл бұрын
@@Atopper Its the same 3.2 thats going on the new Bobber now. The biggest difference is the giant badges that stick out on the Speedmaster. Since I am painting mine, I filled the mounting holes, and will run without them. You could just badge over them, if you didnt want to paint.

@@Atopper I am blocking the primer now, so still have time to change my mind, but I shot a Triumph Spitfire a few years back and have paint left from that, so I am probably going with the reverse scheme thats on it. Ya, I will technically have matching Triumphs, but I like the color and its free! If you want to see the color, check out my vids, the Spit is in there. Its a shade of blue, with silver, and stirpes in between. Thinking a similar pattern to the old Triumphs, like the 1948 red and silver.

That’s crazy! I always hear people getting 100ish or lower but I didn’t know if that’s just when the light comes on or if you don’t fill it up as far. There’s a road I want to ride that’s 104miles long and the only fuel station on it is sometimes closed. Station to station will be about 110miles about. This was my test for that.

@@Atopper For me, I always "overfill" right before I leave. I have riddent to "zero" more than once - I carry spare gas. Never needed it, so dont know how low it is at zero- but it takes nearly 2.4, so I would say its close! I have also only gotten 85ish, but always when I am riding with a group of Triples! Bobber actually does quite nicely with them on the street, if you ride it that hard.
