You should not race in track mode, its faster in sport mode, it needs at least 15 mins of pre heating og the battery, just turn a trip to nearest supercharger, and turn off just before racing. Gets the batteries warm and ready

A new subscriber here, really like your videos, I just got an older M3P- and was very surprised to see the car still run under 4sec 0-60 even around 10%, very informative and well produced!

Keep up the great videos man!!! Not many out there like yours at all. I never had a chance to get my Challenger Scat on the Drag Strip, but hope to get my 23' M3P to Island Raceway in NJ over the next week or so. Not many Drag Strips left even near NYC at all. Closest one in NJ Atco Drag Strip just closed down for good without much notice. Wanted to also ask you what telemetry gauge you are using and a link if you have it. Thanks again, looking forward to your next videos!

Thanks for watching! You're going to love the M3P, its so much fun! It's a shame that so many tracks and drag strips are closing down :(. I am using a Racebox. I like it cause its an all in one unit (I don't want to have to use my phone because I use my phone to record video). It lasts me the whole night I am at the track as well. I'll add the link into the description but here it is as well. amzn.to/45y8mEj

3:00 That's Model 3 Long Range + Acceleration Boost. Not sure what's the SOC and battery temp of that car, but normally would run 7.6 - 7.65 1/8 mile. So it'll be great match if your SOC is around 30 - 40%ish.

Rich, really enjoy your vids. Appreciate you taking one for the team and showing us what happens at the bottom of the charge. Just picked up our MYP 2 days ago and first time EV owners (and long time dinosaur burners). Great to see the progress in EV motorsports. Keep up the great work!

A lot of Audi you have run in the run in the video are modded, so it might be misleading to show the stock horsepower number.

I’m trying to figure out how to show that these cars are modified 🤔

Do you ever think of weight reduction? Light weight rims and tires, battery 🔋 and interior removed? That would be cool to see how close you can get into the 6s in the 1/8 mile. Love the videos!! Keep it up 👍🏽

Thanks for watching! Yeah I’m thinking of removing the seats, seems easy enough haha

that was a very tuned s4 and s5. those cars run mid 4s 0-60. and rs5 is 3.8

That model 3 you raced wouldve been a model 3 long range dual motor with the acceleration boost, otherwise it wouldve been running 8.0-8.3
@T3chAndThings Жыл бұрын
Have you ever dyno’d your model 3 performance? It should be around 500hp not 450. I’ve seen the long range model y do 450 on a dyno. Also one thing I don’t like about tesla (even though I have one) they don’t improve on performance year over year like their gas competitors. Heck give us a software update to push it more if they aren’t going to improve the motor performance.
@RichOnTrack Жыл бұрын
I have not dyno'd my Model 3 performance, I pulled the figures off a website to be honest so I am not sure exactly how much power I am making.
@Keeping-It-Real-55 Жыл бұрын
Are you keeping the battery pre-conditioned between all the races? Or is it just warm enough already? I always thought with that low of a charge you lose significant TQ/HP. Obviously your losing a lot. I just thought more I guess. I would somehow advertise testing low SOC with a crayon on the windows.
@Keeping-It-Real-55 Жыл бұрын
That white s5 his hp/tq numbers where false advertised. So when you get the performance down to below 10% SOC your technically running the same times as the dual motor non performance models.
@RichOnTrack Жыл бұрын
Yeah I unfortunately don’t know what he’s actually running. Next time I won’t put any figures up I think. Sorry for any confusion
@Keeping-It-Real-55 Жыл бұрын
@@RichOnTrack I like seeing the figures you put up there. Gives us a good idea of what may happen in the race. It just happened that the s5 had a lot more power than the numbers suggested. Sleeper bro lol

Pls turn off track mode, it is hurting the performance on the dragstrip.
@RichOnTrack Жыл бұрын
I hear that it hurts and then I hear that it helps. I honestly don’t see a massive difference either way
@genderlessyoutubefanperson Жыл бұрын
@@RichOnTrack It cools the battery/motors on the circuit track and when you drift. It puts the cooling pump and fans in high perf mode. For drag racing you want a worm battery. Better electric current flow ....faster speed. :) Great videos BTW. I really enjoyed them.
@genderlessyoutubefanperson Жыл бұрын
@@RichOnTrack In general, batteries store better in cold as long as they don't freeze. However they cycle (charge and discharge) better in warmer conditions as long as they don't get too hot. Temperature limits vary depending on battery chemistry and state of charge.
