@@Vyloka I still don't understand it. They're both pretty good in their own way, but Black and White really drag between gyms. Never felt that with X and Y. My only complaint with those games is that they're too easy.

@@Memorywholed X and Y lack content. EXTREMELY. Theres jack to do in any given town,the towns have literally no lore to them and only serve to look interesting8/10 times. No npc will give you a single piece of interesting dialogue in them usually. The characters feel flat and uneventfully,especially the gym leaders and champion compared to previous gens. The routes are REALLY downgraded usually but with a few outliars. Caves were all amazing though. No challange. You get your hand held and op things given to you for no reason consistently. Music?....definitely not bad but youd be hard pressed remembering a piece of x and hs soundtrack as "iconic" in any way shape or form. Evil team? Pretty bad. Way too many rivals too. It feels like the plastic gen. The 3d models looking pretty dead alotta the time. Post game? What post game? Theres aLot more but this is the surface level of it

In Gen 2 you could’ve just bred the guaranteed Shiny Gyarados for a way easier shiny encounter (because in Gen 2 shininess is based off of IVs)

Also it should be worth mentioning that "technically" gen 4 has the highest shiny odds, but.. it is a glitch known as the Cute Charm glitch. Depending on your TID/SID combination, the PID rerolls that apply outside of battle can end up giving you extremely high odds of 1 in 5. These Pokemon are also all entirely legal, and it doesn't work for genderless or solo genders. This would have been a small meme in this video at best, considering you'd just talk about the process, and then as soon as you attain it the shiny is just gonna pop up for free.

If you're okay with editing your save (specifically, TID, SID, and putting in a Cute Charm Pokemon), then it's immediate. If you'd rather appeal to the luck aspect and reset for proper IDs, then it would only take longer. But if you're already bent on doing this glitch, why would you even care about the luck aspect to begin with?

to give you an idea of how coinflip shinies can be sometimes, I've had a hunt in white 2 go to 21,000 for a drifblim, then about a week later i got a liepard in 174 seen on the same game.
