Imagine trying to get an A rank in Sonic Heroes with Team Chaotix. Some of those levels literally took me over 10 minutes. Does anyone even know what their voicelines sound like for A rank?

You have to get all A ranks to unlock "Super Hard" difficulty, which is harder (and much longer) stages as team sonic. I've heard their voice lines and quite a few others due to unlocking that mode. but some stages that aren't even team chaotix is VERY tight on the A rank. All cause of the 2nd missions. One of the Team dark missions wants 100,000 points for A rank.

The problem is not the normal stages Rank A, it's the secondary missions rank A every stage has. I did it with my brother, we 100% the game and played the Super Hard mode that is all the stages in a row with Team Sonic and much harder, however there is no rank on them. I really love how much content the game has.

Forgot to mention too, but the voiceline for clearing the stage is random, but the lines based rank is said by the character you were last controlling. That also goes for when you clear boss fights too, but there's no rank based lines. For instance, beating the Team Rose fight with Sonic will always end with "Marriage?! NO WAY!!!" by Sonic.

Act 1 is either going to be Green Hill Zone, a Green Hill Zone varient, or a day at the beach, it's inevitable.

I like the Sonic Heroes stages being longer, it gives you time to actually be in the stage and become immersed, nothing like Sonic Forces were it seems you're just blasting through the level, and bam, you're done, and you're like, wait was I even really in that?

Lastly, I consider the Advance (and battle) titles to be canon cause they introduced Cream and mentioned Eggman trying to create Eggmanland for the first time. But then again, Frontiers basically said EVERY sonic game is canon, including boom and the mobile racing games.

Rank A in Sonic Heroes is determined by score. You need a certain amount of score per level to reach Rank A. Is not time related. Time just gives you more score into the total, that's why the best way to get A Ranks in Heroes is to kill enemies and collect stuff

for advance 2 (and advance 3 as sonic & tails) if you press R and any of the directions after hitting a spring, or getting off a rail, or anything that launches you upwards, you can go faster. The more rings you have, the faster you go into boost mode

Speedrunners don't even play some of these levels the way you do. A good number of them have glitches and exploits they use to go even faster. The classic titles for instance tend to have out of bounds and level wrap tricks, and a few later games like Heroes and Unleashed have tricks of their own.

Also, Sonic CD does have interesting level designs along with that time gimmick.... That's not too bad. The special stages though are very easy, while EVERY boss is a total joke and could qualify as some of the easiest bosses in the series.
