That wouldn't really work without hacking the rom to use the different forms because in gen 3 deoxys's form depends on the game its in, original for r/s, speed for emerald, and attack and defence in fire red and leaf green

Deoxys defense sounds even more exciting than your standard legendary, being so defensive yet being a psychic type just sounds like an interesting playthrough.

I never tried it because I thought it would be ass but Calm Mind and those defenses would be pretty nice to set up I suppose.

Electric types in Kanto are pretty good once you beat Brock and not much resists it. Pair with decent coverage options and you'll smash through Kanto easily. Mew should be interesting though because of its wide access to TMs and move tutor moves for coverage and it's in a decent (read not slow) level up group iirc. Can't see it being faster than Raikou solely because of Brock

Wow I guessed correctly with Raikou's A tier placing. Mew is gonna have a terrible time with the early game since it only gets Pound at the start. As a matter of fact, Mew has a rather terrible level up movepool with more relevant moves like Psychic and Ancient Power coming in at level 40 and 50 respectively. Mew's probable grind-heavy early game makes me think he'll end up in C+ tier.

Less steps, one or two mons to evolve. Stretch it out into a full-on series. Smaller changes to your diet. Come on, man. I don't want to see you give up such a solid idea.

Failed battles don’t count towards your time since you reset right? I feel like that messes up the accuracy of the time

Yes they don't count. And the accuracy of the time is just fine since they're all measured by IGT rather than RTA, makes it a bit more fair in case I waste extra time figuring out strategies for different legends.
