I think they own Rimac now, or at least the tech in Rimacs. They probably didn't want the embarrassment. So the best thing to do is to buy them, lol. The Rimac is insane. That Lucid Sapphire is insanely quick too. It smoked the Plaid, but let's see them successfully bring them to production. The divo is expensive not for its acceleration but just because it’s super exclusive and rare. There a lot of slightly tuned (just ecu+downpipes) super cars (720s, 765lt, sf90) that easily run 3.5-3.7 sec 100-200kmh compared to 4.2 sec of the Plaid.

The next step after tri-motor Plaid is quad motor like the Rimac Nevera (and Hummer EV). The Cybertruck supposedly will have a quad-motor option. For drag times the cars are hitting the limits of how much force four tire contact patches can transmit to the ground, so quicker cars will need fans like the McMurtry Spéirling to suck them down or rocket thrusters like the supposed Tesla Roadster SpaceX package. incredible car shootout, so thank you Brooks for bringing this to us. Quesiton: From my perspective the DIVO felt approx. 0,5 sec. slower from 100-200 to a regular bugatti chiron or super sport... The divo should keep up with the super sport as it owns a shorter gear ratio... and in the final pass it even slows down to >5 sec. 60-130... did it got too hot or was it just the start which didn´t seem perfect?

The divo is expensive not for its acceleration but just because it’s super exclusive and rare. There a lot of slightly tuned (just ecu+downpipes) super cars (720s, 765lt, sf90) that easily run 3.5-3.7 sec 100-200kmh compared to 4.2 sec of the Plaid.

The plaids seems to be pretty consistent. Even if the Divo launched properly and was 0.1 quicker, it’s not going to win the tree 10 for 10. The plaid can do 100’s or 1000’s of passes (lifetime), carry 5 people, and sells for 1.5% as much!
