I've always accepted ark's graphics as is because I believe it to be a developer's art style/design issue more than anything but I've just wanted a stable frame rate.....jumping in and out of the blue zone with a karkinos and freezing constantly and denying your jump or just walking around at about 20-25 frames on average was just unacceptable.

@@srs6461 Consoles are the problem. They are cheaply made. The ps5 did not live up to my expectations. I have a 1080ti, made in 2017, and it can still beat the ps5s graphics. I have over 50 unique maps, and 100 mods installed. Ark takes up more space than the ps5 has. The optimization you speak of is just them lowering the settings, and raising the framerate/resolution. You can watch gamers nexus benchmark the ps5.

From my understanding the PS4 will only handle a top speed of ~300mbps, I don't remember the exact number but I think the speed is capped somehow even if you have a crazy internet connection. Please correct if I'm wrong

Just update from ps4 slim to ps5, playing on official server. It's faster, quicker, and wayyy smoother. Accessing inventory has no lag at all, flying over big base didn't stop a single movement, coming back from blue screen didn't took a minute.

I loaded my PS4 with a solid drive and my loading times drastically changed. I don't know if it's as fast as the ps5, but it's compromable and if I have to wait 20 seconds more, it's way worth it compared to a $500 price tag How many PS4 players are going to be left out in the cold with this new unreal engine 5. Their is disconnecting possibilities on Ps5 aswell but it’s not exactly blue screening , you get a quick error message and and asks you to report it or not report it , you can exit it very quickly and restart , but you only disconnect after several server joining and hours of playing it does not happen nothing like PS4 though it’s almost rare .
