I was trying to get the magsafe tomorrow with the 20w charger , i was wondering that the phone came with the cable in the box . Sudden i think “ why would i going to get a magsafe since the phone box is coming with a cable as well . Charger with cable is more faster than a magsafe . Thanks for a great info . Will be canceling buying the magsafe 👍🏻

Hi Tao, I'm from Singapore and you help me saved my £32 in the end. I've decided not to buy the MagSafe Charger. I will only buy the 20w adapter to charge with the cable on my iPhone 12 Pro Max instead. Tq bro. ☺️

I returned my magsafe charger in exchange for the magsafe battery pack for this exact reason. The battery pack is more convenient and useful when on the go coupled with the usb c lightning cable it comes with

I have never had super-speed from Qi charging. The point is that you put the phone down at night on the pad and it charges overnight. I always had the problem with my old iPhone Xs that if there was the slightest angle to the floor or the table, the phone would just slide right off the charging mat. That is all over with the MagSafe. I'm happy with it.

Lightning port is physically superior to USB-3. The advantages of the USB-3 are in charging speed, transmission speed, etc.. But physically the Lightning port is better.

Yes the slow down is due to the optimised battery charging which is why the last 20 percent slows significantly.

Thanks for the comparison. I have a question though No one nowhere has explained this: USB A > Lightning (2m) 12$ Charging Cable USB C > Lightning (2m) 39$ Charging Cable You have to buy a charging brick for 19$ from Apple in order to use USB C > Lightning cable the bundle is 58$. But.. USB A > Lightning cable is cheaper and you probably have a charging brick that is 30-60W WITH USB A Output So the question is: Are the charging speeds the same? Different cables have different AMP/Volts Tolerance some enabling you fast charge some that don't.

If you have older iphone (11, x etc) can you try to see how it charges with apple official 20w charging brick and magsafe. Thanks

@Ja Rule If you use magsafe to charge non-iPhone12 devices, it will be equivalent to 5W charging. check out this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXzEYmWbp6qgpZI

I appreciate your video atleast honest. However, I am just wondering which one you suggest Apple 20w or anker Nano 20w? is there is lot of difference in size and quality? could you give your opinion regarding that please?
@TaoMStudio4 жыл бұрын
@Abdul Baloch IMO they are equally good. But, apple one is more compact when pins are folded ( uk version)

@@TaoMStudio Thanks. I will go for that. However, this is ashamed that apple playing green world card and removed chargers from iphone 12 versions even paying £1399/-. for the phone. Apple selling the same charger with £19/- on their site. They could have included £19/- in the price rather than doing this. Very disappointed .

I wish he had the gear to test their electrical performance. Maybe the Apple 20w one is a touch slower but that difference could be what protects the longevity of the battery.

Magsafe charger with 20w brick is 5x longer with the 20w brick cable charging time itself. Magsafe is good for overnight charging. I have one. Decide when buying magsafe 🙂

Is magsafe bad for Your baterry
@TheMacGeek3 жыл бұрын
No. MagSafe charger and your iPhone both have temperature sensors and will slow down charging if it gets too hot. iPhone batteries only last around 2 to 3 years before wearing out and having less charge capacity. It’s only $49 or $69 to get battery replaced by Apple, then you get years more battery life with your new battery.

watching Netflix 4k and MagSafe at same time the screen brightness is much lower than 1200 NITS 🤔 because the temperatures thats so annoying

a quick question: If I charge my iPhone 12 with my MacBook (60W)charger - what would happen to the phone? (over heat and destroy battery life? ) IS it okay to charge the iPhone via the Mac (i.e. connect the phone to laptop) or would it be better just to get a 30W charger adapter? Any suggestion ?TIA
@TaoMStudio4 жыл бұрын
@Balmoral House iPhone 12 is capable of Max 20W charging, so does not matter how powerful the adapter is. It is depends on the iphone battery. charge from Mac is perfectly fine, but a bit slower. Remember that, fast charging gives battery more stress, so it may shorten the life spam of battery over years.Only time will tell.
