Facebook notification squad xx. Jenny, I have a question for you! You can always say no of course but I have a fish that I have no idea what to do with :( I am a novice and I bought a common pleco but he has grown so big for my 35g tank. The store told me he was a bristle nose! I live in Jacksonville FL and I would drive down to somewhere in your area if you would please take him for free. I know it's a weird question to ask but he is suffering in such a small tank and he would love to be in one of your huge tanks. He is really good at his job too! He keeps the tank spotless and he has always been disease free. My younger sister named him Dragon and I only want him to have a good home. Please please please let me know if you can do this. I have called all around Jacksonville and no one will take him because he is too big. Thank you! I have watched you for years
@jupiter66287 жыл бұрын
Buzsaw Bowser she was told incorrectly. she thought she knew what the fish was because she was directly told what it supposedly was. and even if she did double check, bristlenose and common plecos look very similar. and do you know how expensive big tanks are? "just go get a bigger tank" fam maybe they can't currently fit a larger tank into their budget. they aren't just dropping a situation onto someone, they're ASKING. you aren't a very empathetic person, are you?
@MelonMeoww7 жыл бұрын
+Buzsaw Bowser Actually, me looking for a new home for my fish IS being responsible. As i stated, I am a novice. When I trust a pet store to tell me the breed and THEY get it wrong, how is that my fault? A bristle nose is only supposed to get a couple inches long which is fine for a 35g tank but when it was actually a common pleco that gets over a foot long, there lies the issue. Jenny has many tanks that are very large and she shows how well she can care for fish. Also, I cannot not just go and "buy a bigger tank." That costs money that I don't have and room I can't make in my house. Me recognizing that the fish can have a better life elsewhere even though I do not want to get rid of it is actually very responsible. It's funny you think you can sit here and give me life lessons and tell me how horrible I am from one comment. But then again, there will always be people like you that take enjoyment out of bringing other people down.

I'm so glad it's a thing to have aquariums and even keep birds at places like nursing homes. Though I'm sure there are some people who could do without, there are plenty of those who love animals and probably miss the pets they can no longer keep. Though I like it even more when a stray dog or cat may become a community pet for the residences. 😄

Hey I was wondering what the best thing to feed frogs is? My mom brought some of her plants in for the winter and we got a little tiny tree frog too. We can’t find him to put him back outside so we kind of need to find something to feed him till he can go out with the plants in spring.
@flashofpink7 жыл бұрын
It depends upon what species of frog you found. I would use Google to determine the species of frog and then try to find some care info for that particular type of frog online. :)

I’m glad you were able to make the trip. The video was really informative and craftsmanship of the team at a Custom Aquariums is satisfying to witness. Looking forward to seeing what else you have planned for the fish room. Can buoyancy problems be related to intestinal parasites? My largest goldfish has tendency to start floating if overfed but regains swim bladder control after clearing its bowels. A couple of the other fish have started showing signs of bladder issues. I do a 50% weekly water change but that means there is up a weeks’ worth of droppings at the bottom. By the end of the week it has been converted into detritus because fish will eat it, I assume to feel like they have a full stomach. My guess is that if the issue is being caused by a parasite or other pathogen, it may have been passed to the other fish through the droppings. Does anyone have any insight to share?

Sadly this is reminding me that I will have a major hassle getting my 6ft tank out of my apartment 3 flights up when I move. Seemed like a good idea getting a tank at the time but the guys that delivered it made it known in no uncertain terms not to contact them if I ever wanted to move it! It was a 4 man struggle getting it in and I think it will be harder to go down stair with than up them, dilemma! Still cool to watch them make new tanks, all my stuff is almost 6 years old now and so outdated it isnt funny. My braces are actually siliconed in peices of glass on my tank. Maybe I should just get it pulled apart instead of trying to move it, I dunno.
