my rabbit has been kept on her own her entire life, we tried getting her a friend several years ago and she hated her. my bun is perfectly happy and healthy living on her own! I think it definitely depends on the rabbit, of course a lot much prefer having a friend but there are some who do great alone too🤷🏻‍♀️

No need to move the axolotl tank. Just build a simple, soundproof, box to keep the chiller in. It won't be quiet as a mouse, but it will reduce the noise a lot. You could even build a whole cabinet under the tank to keep it in.

You cannot enclose aquarium chillers because they produce a lot of heat and need very good air circulation around them in order to function properly.

I really like these vlogs showing you taking care of all your animals. It's great to see your organization, procedures and dedication to the hobby by not skipping corners. I'm not sure what your long term goals are, but it'd be super cool to see this turn into a full fledged business, as in, having a couple employees to help you and seeing how you continue to expand. For the loud chiller, can you build a small insulated chamber to cut down on the noise no matter where you put it?

if you put a towel between your air pump and chiller, it may reduce the noise. also if the chiller is on a hard surface as opposed to a carpet, towel, or rug, it may be louder. its a little work, but a lot less work than moving everything right away. I really enjoyed this video. I'll be sure to tell my friends about your vlogs so they can watch too.

You should be able to easily construct a baffle box or sound box to drop over that machine. Even easier get a stand with a closed bottom and line it with sound deadening material. You will need to make sure their is plenty air space and it can not be air tight cause it will need air to move, lol. Many boxes are built like this to quiet generators

I have a rabbit, he has like 2 years and 3 months old and well...yeah it pretty difficult. Not in the way that it needs a lot but you need space, I build mine a big cage and it took a lot of time and in the day I put him in my garden with just a fence, the problem is that they produce soooo much poop, more than you imagine so you have to be very clean, usually they make in a single place but it takes time, algo their pee is super acid and it may pee on you a lot of times and it may stink your clothes and also, I have dogs and the dogs can't eat the rabbit poop so I if you have ir in your garden it's quite difficult. You need a lot of toys and places to hide but you can easily replace them with boxes tbh it's difficult but not extremely

I REALLY love your Channel but PLEASE. Bunnies have to have a partner... they will never be happy alone, bunnies are not hamsters... even though you may think that he is happy alone and without another bunny because he has you to cuddle with, but bunnies want to cuddle and have somebunny all the time and humans cant be there all the time (for example at night)... it would be the best when you buy a female bunny and neuter him (dont know if this is the right word...). Introducing bunnies should ALWAYS take place in a neutral space where none of the bunnies ever lived because otherwise he will fight the new bunny. Again, i LOVE your channel, and i really like you but bunnies really need another bunny to be absolutely happy. Things like "my bunny doesnt like other bunnies" is not true, most people that say sth like that didnt introduce their bunnies right so they kept on fighting. Please... he will be a lot happier and would be thankful

Alexis' Fishin', Huntin', and Farming Show well i had one of those "must stay alone" buns and when i had my best friend (who owns three bunnies) took him to her because i was in holidays they accidently met on neutral space and first they had little fights, but it all went that well we decided to let them be together. When I came home I was not able to take him with me knowing he would be alone at home. I went to a shelter and told the guys i wanted a social bunny to try if it could work with him and the first bunny and him never became friends, so i tried it again, again on neutral place, and that time it worked. She was 2 years younger and when my male bunny died she was adopted by my best friend and her buns. Only because it did not work ONE time doesnt mean a bumny wants to stay alone. This is often something you say when you dont want another bunny. Bunnies kept alone are more into humans and this is MOSTLY the reason they're kept alone.

It's cool to see a woman who's into this hobby and cares so much for the creatures . I've been keeping fish and all sorts of critters since I was a kid . Currently I have several tanks going with tropical fish and some native fish like Bluegills, trout, bullhead catfish, and Stickleback fish .In addition to the fish I've got several types of salamanders,Oregon newts , Roughskin newts which look very similar but are actually separate species and highly poisonous . (Fact -the Oregon newt is the most poisonous creature in North America but you would have to eat one to suffer the consequences of their toxic skin. ) When I first moved to the house I'm at in the Pacific Northwest, I dug a large hole in my backyard to get sand which filled in with water and within a week I had residents like these newts that came to breed .I grabbed up about 5 of the 10 + and have had them in my tank for the last 7 years . They've reproduced and I put the offspring in the pond to restock the wild population which seemed to be dwindling due to pesticides herbicides being used on local farms and peoples lawns. I showed my son's friend's the amphibian collection I have which caught the attention of the school who invited me to set up a display for the children to see. At this point I decided to raise awareness to the situation with the dwindling newt population due to the use of chemicals which was a great success and got some children interested in the hobby . Many of the parents had no idea of the damage they were causing using these chemicals .In addition to the fish and amphibian collection,I have a bunch of rescue animals ,2 dogs and now 10 cats that keep the rodent population in check . Sorry not a big fan of rodents especially the ones that get in your home and eat the plastic plumbing or wiring and spread diseases . All the cats were feral cats that were abandoned which I had spayed and neutered . Needless to say not all my past girlfriend's were appreciative of my hobby or my love of animals .Oh well that's why they're "ex girlfriends" . If a person can't accept you for who you are they're not worth it your time at all . Kudos to you for sharing what you know . Best of luck to you and your family of critters .👍

It’s so funny watching someone who lives so close to me. I saw longwood and had a little freak out! Like hey I know that place my packages go through there as well!

You should keep pellets or timothy hay for rabbits 24/7 because they can go into GI stasis if they don't eat for a few hours. But everything else is great!

Three small worms per axolotl! That must feel like the hunger games. It makes sense why you mentioned that one of them went for your finger. They actually can eat raw meat, particularly chicken, beef or turkey.

Are they basically mud puppy salamanders? My dad caught one while fishing and brought it home and said he caught a walking fish. We figured out it was a salamander. This was a looooong time ago. We had no clue how to take care of it other than reading about mud puppies in the old encyclopedia. We kept it in a fish tank with a big rock that he could climb on out of the water if he wanted to. We fed it earth worms. He got constipated once but turned out ok. He seemed miserable in the tank though so we took him to a closer river and let him go. It wasn't the same river which I think is a bad thing to do. Anyway he looked so happy. He splashed around, looked back at us for awhile then swam away. Poor guy.

You can get sound reducing foam panels to put directly on the fan and it should significantly help with noise reduction.

As long as the temperature changes aren’t too drastic, axolotls can go up to around 20-25 degrees celsius without getting stressed

In RE to the python not fitting your faucet, depending on the faucet, you can often buy a home faucet to hose thread converter for just a couple bucks. I use one on a bathroom sink for my homebrewing chiller.

I was worried about the same thing with my python but I doubled the length making it 50ft total and it works just as good. Just make sure that the extension is attached very very tightly otherwise it will burst off or leak getting water everywhere. I suggest using those metal hose clamps you tighten with a flathead screwdriver. MAKE IT TIGHT.

I’m really enjoying your vlogmas videos. After a long hard day of work, I like coming home and watching these before bed. I’m kind of hoping you extend the number of videos you upload during the week once you get the tanks for the fish room. Maybe one can be a vlog that doesn’t have to be so well edited.
