Research in Social Sciences can't keep separate researcher's biases and opinions from reporting their findings. Dr. Sarita rightly pointed out mischief of foreign scholars. Many Indian academic scholars also earn their bread and butter out of it.

Very good points raised by Dr. Sarita Seshsgiri on researchers bias in Social Sciences. As pointed out by many in the comments section Indian Academic Counterparts of foreign funded research academics also earn their bread and butter through this collaboration. This is like a win-win situation for both academics in India and abroad. These reports are published in popular western scientific journals and the whole world will accept this biased findings as the whole truth. A researcher asking leading questions to get the response they want from the respondents is highly unethical.

The caste system in India is a propaganda by the invaders. The original vedic caste system was based on the work based divisions of society. A brahmin is not born as a brahmin. Being a brahmin means withholding certain values and ethics and performing certain rituals for the betterment of society. A kshatriya was a leader who was entrusted the duty of protecting the people and ruling them ethically. A vaishya was the trader and a shoodhra was the craftsman / gardener / worker. The vedic caste system brought out the best in people and unlike the brainwashing propaganda being belted out today, the vedic caste system was not at all discriminatory. The invaders destroyed Vedic education and painted a fake draconian discriminatory caste system to brainwash Hindus and Indians to feel a sense of shame. We still swallow the vomitus thrown on us by the fake historians and propagandists. And the shameful.fact is how many Indians have developed Stockholm syndrome and sympathize with invaders based on their religions affiliations and spit on their motherland. But karma is a b!**h and all these villains ( invaders and propagandists) eventually reap the poisonous harvest they sow.

This is a loop whole in our society (all are not equal). I have witnessed it myself irrespective of religion... people behaviour changes based on persons back ground and etc.... Honestly in my experience not all are equal as mentioned in our constitution... so this has to be addressed internally... Unless this is done west will take advantage and exaggerate the gound reality to build false narrative on Indian society.... They have been doing this for centuries and have mastered this craft.... and we have look inward and address social injustice and uplift the poor/oppressed irrespective of thier back ground.....

I believe this is largely possible because Indians abroad feel alienated from India. Most have to choose to let go of Indian citizenship and assume another. Something that few countries have to do. This was a complex topic. The lady was explaining how foreign researchers manipulate circumstances to suit their own narratives. Ex: how persistent some white researchers are to get their answers, what kind of questions they ask, how their research always confirms their bias, how even the interpreters are asked to manipulate language to suit the agenda. Basically a lot of this so called 'unbiased' research is manipulation and misrepresentation.
