I love this “idea” of not measuring forgiveness based on the level of an offense. As I’m on my own journey to self forgiveness I realize that I should and can forgive myself for the big things just as I forgive myself for the small things.

In tears! I had lost so many parts of me due to bullying in school, including me an A-class performer, I have just left an abusive job where my productivity dropped to less than a quarter of before, I am fighting now for a cause that is not mine against an organization that betrayed me and now have to face the people who alienated me head on again. Everywhere someone needed forgiveness, and I struggled in light of how I hurt or performed poorly in light of those moments. Memories of me flooded my mind. You have given me the strength to see the God in them, not judge and in turn not judge myself because they themselves will grow from love and recognition of who they are. It has freed me from the responsibility of being their savior because I see them as whole. Oh my God.

Lisa! I have had to listen to you speak about forgiveness countless times before it actually set in. Sometimes the most difficult person to forgive is yourself. Yesterday, I hit the reset button for myself and decided to give myself permission to play full out! Learning to forgive myself for my short comings was the release that I needed to let my inner beastess out! Thank you for reminding me that I am enough, I deserve forgiveness and I AM ENOUGH!! #BOL

BOL I just appreciate this episode more than words can say. I had to just apologize to my adopted son because I was not forgiving him for the years of things that he had stolen from me. Your story of Nelson Mandela really moved us. Yes I allowed him to watch and he also apologized for not allowing God to take control of his life. We are now reconciled and making a unified commitment to live a transformed lifestyle. Thank You Lisa for being a fabulous example of humility and wonderful single motherhood.

Yes I commit to letting it go and moving on. Thank you Lisa. Big reveal. Thanks.

Thank you for this video, Lisa!! My #BOL is "Don't measure the level of betrayal or persecution to the access of forgiveness." I know I have to forgive the boy who abandoned me when he knew that I was broken and needed his support. #BOL! #speakandwrite Lisa Nichols, I met you (not physically) five years ago on KZbin...something inside of me said "remember her" and I said "I will." As I've been spending the last few weeks on your virtual campus, I have re-discovered me. The me that I tucked away, because I allowed people to smother my brightness. The most "unforgivable moment" came in the form of me losing my twin sister to Cancer...that could have been treated (in the beginning) successfully. But the choices that my brother in-law chose, led to her demise and all of us looking up saying, "What happened?" Now you might say, it may not have been choices...but a year before, my brother was at stage 4 with no hope of surviving and with the choices that his wife made, there is no cancer. My point is, I thought I had forgiven him until I heard this lesson. "Forgiveness is not an option." If you want to step into the greatest version of you, you have to be willing to walk through the door of forgiveness without measuring the act of hurt or betrayal." WOW!! I never thought that this would be a problem for me! This is one thing that I truly have to work through because I have to help others, possibly my brother in-law. Please keep me in your thoughts

Over the years I felt entitled to my right not to forgive because of the pain I went through then. I had a list of things that I was not to prepared to forgive. I didn't realise that my healing has nothing to do with who hurt me and what was done to me. The choice I make now to forgive has cleansed my spirit and set me free. I benefit a lot from letting go.

Lisa, Great piece!!! Touched a current situation in my life with a friend who I betrayed verbally; although not intentionally. I know forgiveness is powerful, even it is not an option, it challenges the inner fibers of our relationships and our being. Nelson was an ordinary man with extraordinary convictions. I love one of your quotes, "Conviction and convenience do not live on the same street". I choose conviction, and to live an extraordinary life!!! Thank you for verbalizing the heart and soul of relationship and life challenges.

This conversation hit deep for me. I have been burned out for a while and I began to recognize it only after I had been burned out for sometime. One of my biggest hurdles has been holding things in that hurt me and withholding forgiveness from those who were not sorry or who saw no issue for their actions. I had to be reminded that Jesus did not do that to me. His love that He so freely gives to me I do not deserve it so how Can I withhold forgiveness. I also am learning to forgive myself for allowing things to happen for allowing my boundaries to be broken for allowing my pain and stress to break me. I am on a journey for God to heal me so that when I interact with others I can be used to help heal others. As I said this goes deep for me and this response is only a corner of what you shared is doing for me.

I have been receiving questions from friends like "How do you manage to stay nice to people who betrayed you?", "How do you manage to communicate well with people talking behind you?". Just right now I've realized what the answer was - FORGIVENESS. Yes, it is and will always be! I have been cheated a lot of times. When I was in high school, my teachers tried to steal the medal that symbolizes my 4 years of hard work, luckily enough the truth prevailed. When in college, the same scenario almost happened, the job that's supposed to be mine was given to somebody else. When I started working, my manager manipulated my KPI and definitely got terminated. Yet, through forgiveness, I was put in a place where I am supposed to be. Touching peoples lives is my passion and thanks to "The Secret" for leading me to this tribe. Allow to share this as well, I found my someone special few months after applying what Liza said in the secret which is to "Begin loving yourself". We've been together for morethan six years now. #BOL, forgiveness is not optional even though it is wrapped in a vessel called choice! I've been on the process of manifesting greater abundance. A lot of things have been falling in place - my aggressive relationship with my daughter as a result of fear of unknown, my daughter I have waited for years to have, being the only daughter in my own home. I discovered a lot more as I learnt my process # to give love without fear. Its been life. Fountain of peace, a dream come through and an internal healing. Meanwhile I discovered that I had this heavy hump of feeling against my husband. Initially I thought it was a scarcity feeling that I couldn't handle colleague and romantic relationship with him. Now, after this video, with tears of forgiveness in my eyes I realize #forgiveness is not optional even though it is wrapped in a vessel called choice. I chose to marry him, when I just came right out of rest from the psychiatric home, after being diagnosed acute depressed and schizophrenic. I managed my chatter with little knowledge, but with a made up mind to meet with the me on the abundance side that I see. I didn't know all the many rules on how to communicate my mind. I only knew, SEEK TO UNDERSTAND, THEN TO BE UNDERSTOOD and a few other tools I had crammed from 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE. I had diagnosed myself inability to effectively manage my success and relationships. For some time, I sought to understand, and I bore many situations that pained me to my soul. I saved the moment, and the marriage appeared beautiful, because my husband thought I was happy, meanwhile I was in pain. Sometimes, it showed up as an outburst, which he will overlook, because every other thing was looking good, but I was in pain. I momentarily forgot it, and lived a kind of life that wasn't mine in order to keep us moving. I kept hope alive, even when I battled with that. One day, we had an outbreak, and I was feeling I was giving too much, I felt I had short paid myself, because I felt he was taking too long to learn and understand - limited knowledge (on how I am the chief architect of my destiny). I couldn't pass it on well because I was actually supposed to remind myself and grow it higher for him too see -VALUES before CHARISMA, OBJECTIVE BEFORE SUBJECTIVE. I had crammed these to help me maneuver situations straight from the psychiatric home. I didn't realize I was trying to give my saving bow to my husband to catch a bird that I desired - my harmonious home. I also didn't realize I hadn't diagnosed inability to manage MYSELF ( A lot to learn). I was supposed to keep the bow to myself. I didn't know. I also all of a sudden forgot to be too grateful that with some symptoms of suicide still left, I had manifested a marriage - ignorance. One day, I was fed up, he was not listening, I felt like walking away. I knew the other saving grace of the marriage was for me to let go of understanding and be understood at the moment, meanwhile I didn't know how. I hit him, with my new baby in one hand and he hit me in my eye. He apologized instantly, even though I felt it was not genuine - ignorance. I had a red eye for some time, while I went out, to market products, taking steps to find my way to abundance. This pain I covered all this while just uncovered itself. I shed tears while I type. #A new me is being born# Thank you LISA. #THANK YOU# I FORGIVE.

The biggest takeaway for me is forgiving someone else's pain. Doesn't seem like I should have to forgive someone's pain, but I think that my perception is that "the choice to hold onto a story that you [family member] know isn't true is choosing the pain. I have begun to lack compassion, because it's their choice. I can forgive the fact that they're making the choice to hold onto the story and act out of the subsequent pain in ways that continue to taint our relationship. I can lose my attachment to them making a different choice. I can forgive and release my attachment to them being different.

Is there is any video where you speak about rescuing a relationship instead of breaking and loving yourself. Something like giving before taking.
