Intresting, did you know the "shift start" sounds changes depending on what laws you pick?

Hey there. While looking for some inspiration about psychology in game sound design I stumbled across this video. I just have to applaud you, this was brilliant. The content was very interesting and helped me a bit for my thesis. But the video is SO well-made from editing, length, sound, voice over to content. I think you have a lot of talent for this kind of videos. I've seen you haven't uploaded since this video came out but personally I would love to encourage you to produce more videos. You definately have a talent for it and if you do it more often I'm sure you will get a massive following. Anyways keep up the good work Cheers

Keep the good analysis mate. I'm doing a masters degree in game audio and this actually helped do one task. Cheers. Regarding the zoom in/out sound adaptation, check out jurassic park evolution - they have hell of a sound team

you have an incredible way of active-hearing to the music and SFX of the game. That must be difficult learn how to do that, even when you are enjoying the gameplay. and with the description you did about the soundtrack you can notice than sometimes having a couple of instruments playing along the game can result in amazing and fantastic ambience that matches the game. I'm trying to make my carreer as a sound designer and music producer for videogames, and it's quite hard the first steps. I'm currently working on a 2D platform game, and i'm always insecure about the music i'm composing, i start to ask myself if it's gonna fit to the game, or has it to much arregments, it is too busy. We're on a stage where we don't have too much graphic art, so maybe there's something that is missing to have the inspiration for the music, i mean, questions you did on the pre-production must be a key to this, it's a starting point, i'll try to use those questions regularly. Thanks for your help and all the information you've done on your videos and on the gameaudiolearning, i started today so, i saw the Ted talk, and this, is really, really helpfully. I'm from Argentina and i'm on a discord community for people on south america, where the majority speaks spanish. It would be awesome for them to have your web's content on this language, you'll be reaching a lot of peaple out there. Anyway, thanks again.

Thanks for the kind words Germán! Hopefully at some point we'll be able to translate the whole website into different languages! :) I can definitely say that feedback is always a great way to improve so don't be afraid of showing others your work (unless you aren't allowed to because of an NDA of course). Best of luck with your game, I'm sure you'll do great!

Incredible video! I'm surprised I've only seen this now considering I absolutely adore Frostpunk. I think something else that's interesting is that when you go down the Faith path, the horn that signifies the beginning and end of shifts are replaced with low and echoing church bells. The soundscape changes depending on the choices you make!

Hi I am pretty darn obsessed with the final result you yourself made. Is there by chance a sort of MIDI file you could post up or just finalised extracted files? I don’t plan on using it for anything other than my own analysis.

Have you played in Endless Mode yet? The completion of the Christmas quest line has this little bell song and the background wind sounds like it has some quiet strings mixed in to make it sound brighter and more hopeful while it plays. I don't know if it's just me or not. Great video, btw. I'm subscribing :)
