Here in Brazil it is very rare to see people observe what fuel tanker truck drivers are like
You can get big zip ties and cut two to three inch pieces to put behind the ears on the hoses. It makes a better seal and the ears won't vibrate open.

I did this job in the military and I would unload up to 112K gallons per day using a pump. I would be outside the whole time just like you were. Our pumps would pump around 500 gpm and we had hundreds of feet of rubber hose so you wouldint want any problems!
@glennmcgurrin8397 Жыл бұрын
Your runs must have been crazy short, 14 loads in a single day is a crazy number, that's a load an hour at 14 hour shifts (which would be dot hos limits and it's hard to imagine the military wanting to push past that without special circumstances for safety, and I think dot limits for gazmat might actually be lower, those are the basic property limits). Just unloading at 500 gpm is 16 minutes per load, plus set up, take down, loading, travel, I'm honestly finding that number hard to believe.

@@brockkubat9747 i have a different tanker truck for light oil, but you can set the 4 way valves to discharge or suck on a line, and other valves to send into whichever compartment in the tanks you want. so if you wanted to pump out and back in for whatever reason, it'd use the same line, but a different valve configuration on the truck

So quick question is this the same as home delivery? And if so how do I get the full amount I’m paying for if my house is 20 feet above where the truck sits and their ticket is the exact amount I ordered. Doesn’t the fuel that is in the hose run back into the truck? 4:25
@DrtyDiesel7 күн бұрын
@@HeathHines-e6w technically no, the hoses on those small trucks that deliver to your house are wet, or filled. So when they start pumping, the fuel is at the nozzle already. So you get exactly what you pay for. Then a reel on the truck rolls the hose back up. Those trucks don’t flush the lines dry like I do in this video. The reason I did it is to make the hoses lighter and because they were empty to begin with, I make sure the customer gets all the product.

@DrtyDiesel2 жыл бұрын
I was running 1203 due to having gas vapor in compartment 3 that was empty. The law varies from state to state though. Some states don’t recognize vapor as being product, and would require me to placard for whatever is loaded.
@idahocougarfan95112 жыл бұрын
@@DrtyDiesel that makes sense. Yes that is what I do. If I leave a compartment empty that had gas and is vapor. I haven't done any pump offs yet. I need to learn those so I can be more skilled with all delivery of fuel. I was working for pilot Flying J and had an unlucky deal with a time off request. So they claimed I didn't turn in days off. I actually had and was told I was able to be off. then they said I didn't have it scheduled two weeks before. I kept telling them I had given days in September for Thanksgiving weekend. Not so much for the holiday but that I needed to deal with a family situation and a recognition for my daughter we had scheduled. So I told the manager and regional Manager and dispatch and dispatch was ok with it but someone else at the top came back and said no after I was told I was ok.
