Oil is created through gasification of ALL organic materials. This now includes plastics in landfills. This process is why, when a landfill is being capped off and is done being added to, they put huge pipes on top prior to putting dirt to cover it over. If this was not done fires and explosions would result because as the organic materials breakdown through pressure they create heat and give off hydrocarbon (carbon chain molecules) like propane, butane, methane, etc. These then, with the heat would cause fires and explosions, much like swamp gas, wherein you can see fires in swamps due to gasification there. At the bottom of many landfills, in just 10 years there is crude oil seeping out. It doe NOT take millions of years but only 10 or so (depending on how much organic material is present). They have lied about this process to drive prices up! ALL aquifers are large underground rivers heading to the continental shelves where they hit bedrock and large underground caverns where the flow terminates and lies still and gasification starts. This is why so much oil is found just of the shores of continents.

We should build a refinery in Canada." We have 17 refineries in Canada (I live within 10km of 4) but some stupid jurisdictions (BC, Ontario, Quebec) closed theirs to buy refined product from USA. So we export oil to USA, then buy back refined product from them... and those parts of Canada also refuse to allow us to build pipelines to export our oil (we have the second largest reserves in the world), which would also raise so much tax revenue we could afford our "free health care." Dumb people vote in dumb governments, and then refuse to change because the alternative is "scary." Secure oil & gas is a strategic need, and affordable (plentiful) O&G is a support for all sectors of economic activity. To choose to shutter production is virtual "voting for slavery."

Lead was used in gasoline for many years and it helped your car engine run smooth and no knock. In the 1970's lead was banned in gasoline and the claim was lead was a poison dangers to us and the enviroment. The new blends pushed off on us were a horrible gasoline to use it caused engines to try to keep running after the ignition key had been turned off it caused hot carbon to build up on the valves. Leaded gasoline is still produced by two refinery's in the US and is used by all propeller aircraft due to it being more stable and has a higher octane boost creating more power.
@kimmer621 күн бұрын
It was tetra ethyl lead. Premium grade fuels for high compression engines had more of it to prevent pre ignition.
