How Globalization and Urbanization Can Save the World | Manuel Lara | TEDxYouth@ASM

The world would be a better place without poverty and our efforts as a human race to eradicate it have fallen short. This talk outlines a less conventional way to stop the spread of poverty; globalization and urbanization. Sometimes our perspective is our greatest barrier to understanding and this talk hopes to challenge that and set you on a course of action. Manuel Lara is set to challenge commonly held ideas about poverty and what humanity needs to do to save the world. Having spent most of his life in Peru and Brazil, he has seen firsthand the dramatic impact of poverty on humans. Manuel is passionate about economics and international relations, and he feels strongly about helping those among us who are most vulnerable. His plan to make our future brighter includes working for an intergovernmental organization or an NGO after attending university. Urbanisation is not an imidate problem but centralisation means less care for rural areas. Our democraies, we love so much make further office jobs that move money than develop and care for other places.
