There are glow squid. They’re called firefly squid and they will use their light to find mates or attract prey. The problem is that they only live for a single year.

@@krimativity8526 a lot of places aren't allowing photos if the animals are at risk for poachers. The metadata of the photo can contain location info.

My mother-in-law and I went to the Glowworm Caves at Lake Te Anau in New Zealand. It was such an insane experience, floating in a tiny boat and gripping our hands like a vice. It was our first real bonding experience.

The glow pattern synchronisation could be due to: Glow worms glow brighter when they feel vibrations of prey, signalizing others that there's prey to catch.

Legend has it that in the past these glow worms used to hunt human as well. Some of them escaped though and to this day they carry the snares on their necks. A quick search in the Google images with the words "Elderly Lady" will provide enough evidence to this legend.
