How Good Are Centaurs and Centaur Captains in HoMM3: HotA?

As per your request :)
How good are Centaurs and Centaur Captains in Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Horn of the Abyss expansion (Homm3 HotA)? Let's find out!
In this video, I also try a more granular scoring system. The old one is kept along as well for the sake of consistency. Feel free to comment what you think of the new system :)

The unit tested will face six trials:
- Castle Attack
- Battle vs. A Horde
- Battle vs. Elite
- Battle vs. Missile Units
- Battle vs. Army
- Castle Defense
They will score points from these, as well as from abilities in campaign map, construction chain costs and from the army costs. The army is determined by 20 weeks of growth. The tested units will be controlled by human, and tactics can be used.

In WoG Centaurs can shoot (with normal melee damage) and do +200% dmg to Gnolls, Captains loose the shooting ability, but have the charge bonus to dmg (like Champions) and deal +200% to Gnoll Marauders.

am I odd for thinking the low tier (1-3) videos are much more interesting than the mid tiers (4-5)? also thumbs up for the more granular scoring! poor walking dead/zombies at the bottom, their only saving grace being that they have a good hp/gold ratio.

actually they have ranged attack (only non upgraded ones tho) but only in wog not hota :( (they get ranged attack after like 50% exp cap)

@@kamilwiesak2404 Thanks for the comment. Sounds like a rather strong T1 unit but then again quite a few WoG units tend to get quite nice buffs :)

@@qualityoldhomm-rd3yu yea, some units in wog are very bad but when they get enough exp they are beasts, centaurs getting ranged attack might seem overpowered and it is but they get only 4 (later 8 projectiles)

Oi, appreciate the effort but I prefer the regular score. Bigger numbers are just looking very messy and it complicates the understanding of scoreboard from viewer's pov.

For me the detailed score is better, you get more precise info after every battle ( results may vary much more than in 8-degree scale ) but I like the old one aswell :)

The granular system solves the problem where the upgraded creature clearly performs better but still gets the same number of points. But I'd prefer a decimal score like 1.2/8 for each category and rounded final score.

I think this could be the weakest town, Centaurs and Elves are great, dendroids are useful but the rest is relatively poor.

Thanks for the comment. Imo its main problems are expensive buildings and huge requirements of crystal. :)

Unicorns are strong and cheap. Dwarves are good meatshields and Pegasi are fast with okay damage. Gold Dragons have high speed, attack and defense.

Forrest army is not weakest, it has good utility of units and also they are cheap so unlike towns like Heaven it can buy whole army every week without problems.
