HOW GOOD ARE FIRE RED JORDAN 5 SNEAKERS?! (Early In Hand Review)

That was the first pair of Jordans I got. It was the summer of 1990 and I was 19 years old. I got a part-time job just so I could get these. My first paycheck was $147.00. As soon as I cashed it I went straight to the Foot Locker in the mall and snatched these up. I wore em out the store.....happy as hell! After that, I went to Popeyes a got a 3-piece, then I hit the arcade for some video games, and spent my last couple dollars on some gas for the Nissan Sentra. Then...I was broke again. Good times.

I’m waiting until the drop because I didn’t get the notification on time. However, this shoe is a 10/10 for me. The toe box is what I’m most excited for. 5’s always looked too chunky and made my foot look shorter than it actually is because of how short the toe box was. Aside from the Oregon 5’s (which I’ll never own), or the toro 5’s, this is the best colored of the shoe hands down. Congrats on the early pickup.

Got the OG’s back in ‘90, I was 15 years old. I originally had the AJ series 4 on lay-away. The day I went to pick them up, the sales assistant told me they accidentally sold them to someone else. I was absolutely gutted! The manager told me to come back later in the evening. They were receiving a different pair of AJ’s. That’s how I got the OG series 5 in the same colour way. This release is a lot more nostalgic and sentimental to me. Mine’s on its way...can’t wait for them to arrive!!

I had the black metallic's in '90, I had to choose my parents wouldnt get me both (I was 12). I personally liked that colorway the best, but I did love the fire red's and I bought two pair of the 2020's. It brings back all those memories and feeling you got wearing the OG's when you wear these, they are that close Jordan brand did a good job on them. The leather is beautifully soft, my only gripe is the toebox isnt the original cut they made it too thin but it still looks good.

@MR FOAMER SIMPSON the original release date of March 28th was the actual 30th anniversary of MJ’s 69 point game against the cavs which is crazy , I remember it like it was yesterday I was 11 and we all wanted to “be like mike”. I copped my pair early as well, I copped a pre-authenticated pair from goat. These were a must have for me & was they got delayed so I copped & came from the nj warehouse which is 90 mins away & got them yesterday which was dope !!! I had these back in 1990 so this shoe is very sentimental to & Might even rock em today although having to wear work boots 5-6 days a week for work really limits my sneaker wearing time so I’m very selective when I actually get to rock my kicks.

10 overall. Aesthetically well made. Exterior feels supple & clean. Smooth leather. Ankle portion is cushiony asf, with the leather plush. Footbed is comfortable. Only con I have they’re heavy. But still a 10 because the good outweighs the only bad. And I concur with your, retro NIKE SWOOSH heel label assertion. That increases the product’s aesthetics.
