High Elves weren't known for their prowess in combat at all, they were known for their scholars and knowledge of magic. The reason their infantry was good wasn't innate, it was due to their brilliant smiths, access to elven materials and their taught martial skills.

I think the reason he lost so many man to these "undeads" is the shield formation. Is great ofc for defense but I think changing the formation to "loose formation" and then charge would be the way to go

yeah they do in the lore, but the game has like 4 equipment slots so sadly you can't give them their STAUNCH LINE OF SPEARS, + a sword (since spears are shit in melee in bannerlord), + a shield, + a bow and a stack of arrow.

Resonant, you may not see this but I have a question. I have a decent quality pc and when I try to use Nexus mods to use the bannerlord tweaks mod or any other mod my game crashes every time. Ive disabled the DII already it still doesn’t work.

Turn off any other mods you might have and make sure it’s at the top of the mod list. That would be the place to start.

Bannerlord updates quiet often, so you may just have outdated mods that doesn't matches the version of game. Check your current version of bannerlord itself in the launcher, then search for compatible mods. Also try to start "clean" version. If the game crashes instantly even without any mods or changes in Data folder - just delete everything and reinstall it
