⁠@@kagakai7729 That’s the problem. Literally every class in the game wants BBs to push. If you stay in spawn then the only thing that can shoot at you effectively is heavy cruisers and other BBs. Carriers want you to push away from your team’s AA and you give them shorter travel distance. Subs want you to push into torpedos. Light cruisers want you to push into their HE spam. DDs want you to push into HE spam and torpedos. You open yourself up to crossfires, etc. Everything in the game disincentivizes pushing. If you push alone you are immediately the prime target to be farmed. Unless you can guarantee that you have good support from team mates then you are donating your BB to the enemy team.

If you want to know why he doesn't make a video on it. It's usually because he tries it on stream then it goes something like this. No cv game, (which basically makes those aa plane skill just a waste) no cv game, no cv game, cv avoids him, no cv game, eventually sbmm throws him a curveball and a unicum cv player comes along that totally curb stomps him anyways because of how busted AA works sometimes but takes 45 planes with him while being harassed and tortured for the whole game on top of spotting while also getting screwed out of a good game making him lucky if he pushes it past 80k while facing the might of a concentrated fleet flinging buildings worth of steel ap with explosives further reinforcing that Worcester aa builds aren't so worth it anymore

That has been our experience for a few weeks now as well. Virtually every single game is the same thing: HE spam from behind islands, torp hell from every direction, you can't punish ships showing you full broadside, subs are no better than before, CV planes hitting you 3 times in 30 seconds, and most ships are so passive they just shoot from 20+km away. It has made the game boring and frustrating. I miss the brawling style battles!

The irony of the rage quit near the end of the video, is that at 12:46 PQ nuked a Cruiser at 18.5km that was basically on the other flank less than 3 minutes into the battle, and was perfectly okay with this. Even though that fully ruined the experience of that Cruiser. Meanwhile PQ's lack of cits on the Yamato that still did over 20k damage didn't insta delete the Yamato so PQ rages about how ships need to have more vulnerable cits. Funny how at 16:15 he didn't also go on that rant, because the red Satsuma didn't just nuke him out of the game. Or you know at 14:00 when he basically sailed flat broadside to an Iowa and didn't get punished, instead admitting he wasn't worried about the Iowa. It's almost as if PQ only has a problem with things not getting deleted when it's things he's shooting at, and if he had been punished the way he wants in the instances I listed, he'd likely complain that it's bad game design.

I do agree that the ending was a bit dramatic given how from our pov the session was fairly decent all things considered. However on the shots you talk about. The full hp cruiser kill to start the match. It's like the grand slam for bb players and is far from common place unless the red player's brain turns off after getting spotted and they sail straight. So naturally PQ is pretty pumped about hitting the shot. the Yamato was at 12.5km and basically flat broadside when PQ fired. With those Monty guns I too would usually expect a cit or two on the Yammy. the Iowa that was at 20km+ at most could get a few full pens on him at that range as is lacks the pen to get into the cit. so with 80k hp the Iowa is a non factor for him pushing. 30k from the Satsuma is also a fairly standard result for the shot it took without the funny button. It can be hard to not get a little lost in the salt mines when rng doesn't go your way and so PQ like many of us gripes when things don't go his way and cheers when they do. Just my thoughts on it.

I don't read into it too much. I think he's just a frustrated player who probably plays this game way too much and gets rubbed the wrong way by the meta. Then when good opportunities don't pan out, it's easy to get tilted by the whole experience. Personally, I'm more ok with the RNG of the game because I think it better reflects real life and I want to pretend I'm in a giant ship, not having hyper-responsive professional gameplay where you want every move to pan out as you planned, etc.

I think the best build is where you replace those secondary skills with improved repair party readiness and furious. Gives you an extra heal and faster heals. Furious synergizes with the F key.

I feel like unless you are pushing and expecting to get relit a lot, the combat instructions should be used on those single fires that you usually let burn out in case you get double lit. Thoughts?

Single fires can be healed through as the dmg is fully repairable. I think the gimmick would do well with more than a single fire, which can't be healed through without losing more HP than you heal from them (I know all fire dmg is repairable, but multi fire does more dmg than you heal with a single heal). Multi fire + gimmick + furious would be fun to see, though

You can really just use it to tank more fires in any way since you can rotate it with dcps especially closer distance fights where you hit more shells. Dcp - f-key - recharge everything while healing - repeat. I think using an ohio-style zombie-build with the aa skill that gives you 50% boost on consumables might be interesting as well.

Major rule for BBs: Do not try to push, unless your flank is secured or half of the enemy team is dead. As a main Mecklenburg player, I can feel the frustration. I tried every possible build on this ship, but still the full secondary build is the most successful, not because of the pushing, aggressive play ability, but because of the better AA defense and the better DD defense and the better kiting ability. 12.5km is the death zone when ships come close, when you are in a defensive stance. Aggressive BBs are mostly early sunk these days. If there is a sub on your side, just change side. There is a great chance, the sub is coming only for you and if you are bow on to the enemy you are dead. Subs do what they want to other ships and it is almost impossible to get them, WHEN they are smart enough to NOT ping and your own sub player dumb enough to NOT use its sub detection. Ships like the Maine w/o any kind of reconnaissance are NOT able to defend themselves w/o the help of ships that are able to clear subs/DDs. So you are just a damage farm for everyone in the game. I had games, with the Meckle, where pretty much everyone from across the map were shooting at me, instead the open DDs or cruiser who were much closer to the enemy. The bigger, the easier, the more damage to farm.... that is how the game works today.

Yeah that's the thing, Maine (and Montana/Iowa) guns have the worst BB AP penetration at T10 and T12. (At least for real BB's with 406 mm and larger guns. Burger and other fake BB's are still worse of course.) Even slight angles are enough to shatter Monty AP. For example, Yamato main belt armor, when 90 degrees flat broadside, is still immune to Montana AP outside of ~16.5 km. You can still citadel it through the cheek or angled part of the deck (both of which are thinner than the main belt) but trying to hit those specific parts outside 16 km is purely RNG. So yeah, that Yamato at a 60 degree angle at 11.7 km and the Soyuz at a 50 degree angle at 13.5 km are still enough to shatter Monty AP.

With the floatyness of the shells you should be aiming lower in the water than you are for most shots. You will not get citadels unless your shells land a bit lower (against battleships). Aim it like an AP Des Moines and you will see better results.

This game would be infinitely better if random battles were 9v9 instead of 12v12. Players would actually be able to push, BBs could have fun, DDs and Cruisers could play a lot more tactical, Double CV wouldn't have to be a thing, things like Krakens would be more meaningful and just overall it wouldnt be as messy.

This game has become very inconsistent on shell damage, penetration, and citadels. We are really seeing this dynamic in clan battles. Now in random battles I have had 3 subs and a carrier multiple times. I have also had strange matches coming out of MM, like 6x6. I wasn't in quote long and it was late afternoon.

It might be a new ship but it's Iowa/Montana guns and I think they've been severely power crept. I don't think the USA 16 inch shells have enough pen for the current state of the game. Insufficient overmatch and a lack of pen, as well as poor ballistics. Not a good thing. This thing seems like a tier 10.5 in a game when we have tier 12 and 13 superships.

Regarding HE, I think thats a real eu server thing, you can't expect paying 12year olds (they have access to parents credit card, so they have to serve them) to know what aim is, so HE is the only way to go..and feels like HE is super buffed, even a missed shot from the enemy makes my ship burst in flames 🤷🏼

Well, that's the point of HIGHlights, right? The best performance is the most interesting. Otherwise who would've watch it? Channel wouldn't grow like this etc. Saying that, PQ is a very solid player, but still human and won't have 100% win rate, 200k+ every game with a kraken. Not sure why does it all have to be explained...

​@@sLim88CPC Seems like you need an explanation...It's called mathematics, a bell curve. Put simply the middle is average, to the left is below average, to the right is above average. Without a HIGH there would be no low or in-between. Therefore, it's interesting to know the full picture. I hope that helps you.

Frustrating to watch as it was to play I imagine, too much of this ship's power is in her AA suite and gimmick survival, she needs to at least start with CI ready so she can use it early to spearhead a push or rebuff an enemy advance. Watching these it feels like by the time it's charged up you either have to do crazy stuff to use it, defeating the point, or it's already a decided game anyway. Another t11 that misses the point of why the t10 is strong and ends up making a worse ship. I appreciate PQ trying desperately to find the fun in what is an iconic addition to the game that falls so short of expectations.
