I was thankful to get the Aultmore, Glenburgie, and Miltonduff shipped across the pond into the states….even with extras to get them they all are still amazing value vs the abysmal local market

Hi Jason. Of these signatory series’s ( 100 proof, small batch, exceptional casks) bottling’s there hasn’t been any ex bourbon casks released. Would be interesting too see a couple or so released, what say you?

I’m biased because I’m in the states, and ordering one bottle a time from the UK or Europe doesn’t work for spreading out shipping. I’d prefer a bunch of releases at the same time :). Otherwise if it’s only available for overseas shipping, I will often miss out on a bottle I’d like because it sells out before I find three other bottles to spread out the shipping charge. Of course, this is also okay… I order too much whisky and missing a bottle isn’t a big deal.

The smart people now are off-loading stock over their cost but well under market rates. Piling up cash to buy casks as they continue to correct. I've come across more insane deals now than I ever have. Many cask owners financially strained selling at their cost years ago

In the US I limit my shopping experiences to a few local shops and a few websites. I does seem that indie bottles drop 3-5 at a time. Foe example the Unchill Filtered collection at 46% might have a price range of 80-$115,. The Cask strength series is 90-$190. Ot mire depending on the age. I personally love the gamble of an indie bottle. We may be familiar withthe distillery or not at all. Rhe casking might be the dominant factor, so these are interesting that you're getting auch a variety from the "same" casks. In the end you really don't know what it's going to taste like until you try it. The choice for me is to balance the cost/age ratio while not being mislead by the cheapest bottle. Being the same price, the oldest would be my choice, plus I wiuld choose the familiarity of the Altmore (perhaps) My collectors instinct ranks these lower that an official special release so I'm more inclined to drink them. Since my wheelhouse is all about interesting whisky as opposed to targeting on the quintessential Scotch Whisky ideal, I'm more inclined to relish whatever cones out of the bottle.

If Signatory is willing to sell at a reasonable price that provides an acceptable margin, why would you advocate a different path that chases away those willing to take a chance and taste something they perhaps haven't had before. I stopped buying Gordon Macphail due to their pricing.

I still sometimes buy Gordon Macphail - but yes much more expensive
