On hard times, these actually help fill a belly. I know a few homeless folks. They buy Tina's, walk across the street to the gas station that has a microwave they are allowed to use so long as they buy something, usually a bottle of water. Typically, its their only meal of the day.

When we were younger our parents were frugal or just plain cheap. I’m in my 30’s now and I can’t eat Ramen Noodles and frozen burritos now. I think I can eat Ramen because my favorite flavor is the Pork. But I cook them and I start gagging. I wouldn’t call you prude you can’t eat it anymore probably. There’s no shame in that. Can't say I ever found myself eager to try the BIG burritos specifically. But I DO often get Tina's Breakfast Wraps, and they're pretty darn good and cheap for their 8-packs if you ask me. I tend to put a slice of Pepperjack cheese on each, and it's just so gosh darn hearty and savory.

I dunno. I bought a pack of Tina's burritos one time because they were so cheap (and Cult Moo was bashing them). I figured they couldnt be that bad. After a bout 3 or 4 burritos into the pack I said to me self "Oh no. I have to eat the rest of these." The rest of those burritos sat in the freezer for a good long time. Now I've had this friend of burritos before, and they're pretty good if you put them in the air fryer and serve them with a little bit of sour cream and maybe even some salsa or even some hot sauce or a mixture of all three and For those of you that might be like guacamole that would be an alternative to add on to it as well that may improve the taste and texture

These are my favorite burritos. Or they were at $1 each. I cook them from frozen for 2 minutes wrapped in paper towel and flipped halfway through. I do add ghost pepper sauce to spice up the spicy beef burrito. Due to sodium content I try to limit these to once every 3 weeks or so.

Mr. The Pit, I've recently done some rideshare/delivery marathons recently, and I relied on these things to get me through conveniently. The solution to the lack of spiciness is to drown them in the cholula habanero or ghost pepper condiments at the local QuikTrip. Lack of spiciness was the least of my concerns at the time, or a rushed adventure to the toilet. It was the fact I had to pull over every few minutes, with a customer in the car, to step out of the vehicle to pass the worst flatulence I've ever experienced in 45 years of living. These things are not the working man's friend, to say the least.

Just for reference when you're looking at the fat: 3:24 (putting things into perspective) Fat: (1 tbsp of butter is equal to 14.4g; I know, I've rounded these up.) -1 tbsp of butter (fat) = 14g -2 tbsp of butter (fat) = 28g -3 tbsp of butter (fat) = 42g -4 tbsp of butter (fat) = 56g (1/2 a stick of butter; 1/4 cup) -5 tbsp of butter (fat) = 70g -6 tbsp of butter (fat) = 84g -7 tbsp of butter (fat) = 98g -8 tbsp of butter (fat) = 112g (1 stick of butter; 1/2 cup) Hope this puts the fat criteria on the back of the food item a little more into perspective!

My soup kitchen used to get 'bomb shelter' foods (usually good for 10 years) at year 8 or 9-presumably they wanted to restock with fresher ones. And we got a one lb can of TVP. Once I explained to everyone what it actually was, no one would go near it and the boss refused to let me use it for Any reason. It got tossed out.

I always thaw frozen burritos in the fridge before heating them. Then you don't overheat the tortilla and they come out much better. The time is more than cut in half to heat them. Also, wrap in a paper towel before heating. I prefer to make my own from homemade but have a soft spot for El Monterey frozen burritos. It's flour and salt basically. It would cost no more than 45 cents a burrito if you make a burrito like it at home after buying some filler and flour. Could just use beans and cheese and or refried beans, ground meat. Beans and cheese, ground meat. 8 dollars at most. Flour probably already in your pantry. Tablespoon of meat and or beans and cheese any combination of those you like and you could make over 20 of those. Save money and you won't be consuming shovels full of salt every bite.
