I respect showing up for such a showcase. As such I will also give an honest "answer" It did indeed look like womans football the little world-cup ball I have seen. The core problem is not the lack of technic, skill, power or effort. It's the attitude which in turn effects everything else. It's so lazy I don't know what to say. As a kid I played football(mainly goalkeeper) and in 3th grade I would throw myself like crazy after the ball, dive slide at people in 1vs1 if you enter the goal area that ball WAS MINE! I expected more.

I agree, I started goalkeeping my freshman year in high school, and I am now a senior. I was expecting to learn a lot from watching this, such as footwork. However, I don't know if this is a universal thing, maybe I'm wrong; in no instance was she on her toes and moving, I did not see her hands up ready to catch the ball. During the 1v1s she was not low and did not have her hands out to perhaps divert the ball in its movement. I'm disappointed to say the least, I don't make every save, but I do what I can. I relate to you on that last part, dive slides are my favorite thing to do. That ball will end up in my hands one way or another. Even if that means mowing you down!

I must say some of the shots were top-notch. The 'pro' goalie, unfortunately, didn't join you in this video; she wasn't even trying. But it was not only about her attitude. Her diving technique, when she actually did try, should be used for the how-not-to manual. I played as a keeper in amateur league O-40/O-50 for ten years. In this situation, outside of the box - 0 goals scored. 1 v 1 - 8/10. PK 9/10. I was not a trained keeper, just loved it and was OCD about correcting mistakes. I played against younger players, U-30. I was not even really good. But this was awful.

Grace is 17 (16 at the time of this video), and is not even in the senior Man City team, let alone the national team. She HAS been called to the U-17 England national team, though, so there _is_ that. Like, if she was in FIFA 23 (last time I checked, she wasn't), she'd probably be 50 something (considering Man City's third choice keeper, who is about a year and a half older than she is and has actually played in the first division, is 60). For comparison, Mary Earps, England's actual starting GK, is 84; and Ellie Roebuck, City's main GK, is 80.

Goals are designed for male heights. Her height is just 169 cm and you can see by the longshot's, that she is way to short for it. I know for a fact, that the german male DFB youth academy minimum hight for goalkeeper is 185cm and England will have similar standards.
