Hey, I can see this video is a year old, but if you need help with the native right hand blank area I can help fix that, you will need Bimmercode or something similar, but you can have the full larger screen native display which I really like.

hi! i have an after market bmw screen. I have the same problem as shown in the video, sometimes the whole screen flickers when i go to the original idrive. Maybe you want to help me?🥹

Did you experience any mic issues? Seems like nobody can hear me when I call. Went in and turned the gain up, but that's all the advice the seller gave me.

How do you rate the sound quality of the phone operation? Does it use the factory microphone for phone calls, or is there an external MIC? How is the phone quality? On a similar note, how is the music output quality? Does sound go through the AUX port, or is it integrated? Is it an issue having to always switch to AUX?

phone uses factory interface and mic, I didn't notice any sound quality differences. It always stays in AUX for me so no need to switch. The sound always just works.

Thanks for the informative review. I just had mine installed, but I am experiencing a rattling sound coming from the unit when driving. Not sure if the weight of the unit is too heavy for the back bracket it came with. Did you also experience this, and if so, any luck in eliminating the squeaky sound?

I actually did. But it was more of an issue with my very old tires. After I got new tires it stopped.

Hello mate wonder if u could help me… I’ve the same Headunit as u but the thing is when I do the Bluetooth search mine comes up with two options to connect one being a BMW one and other being a ZLINK one.. Now both connect fine but I find it sometimes they clash and at times sound Doesn’t come through or won’t connect.. What one do u personally use to connect t your device and do u also have two?? Or what one would u recommend to use?? Thanks 🙏🏽

Mine connects to both too but mine doesn't have issues like that as long as the audio source from the BMW side is AUX

What brand is it? I bought a MEKEDE MN-X 12.3 inch which looks exactly like yours. The main drawback is that I cannot have the weather widget, it does not support this feature. It has wireless Android Auto and Carplay.

It's a Chinese brand from Ali express. They are all nearly identical. But this is probably outdated now because it's been a year already. This does not have wireless AA/Apple carplay.

Hey, you can just look up BMW F48 android auto headunit. Try to find one with wireless android auto/apple carplay. it's is much better.

Thanks Nico! For this one, you just need to have the BMW side set to aux and the sound will work, no aux cable needed:)

Sadly they sound like crap, hate the cold or heat and the car passthrough fails a LOT with vertical lines. these are made really cheaply and is sad as I would pay for a good one with good sound. and no those lines can not be fixed. the device is failing.
