The extra white space of the esv Heritage makes a huge difference in reading comfort. I'd love the CSB done just like the esv Heritage. Slightly smaller print, wider margins, and more line spacing. That would be perfect!

The Crossway ESV Heirloom Heritage is a fantastic Bible! I love that it's just a reader, in paragraph format with minimal translator notes so it reads just like a book.

My wife really enjoys your channel and sends her thanks! The CSB is her current favorite translation, says this one's a beauty.

That's great! Tell your wife thank you for watching!

I have this exact Bible and had the gilt redone with red paint and speckle. It improved the look tremendously.

you won't regret it.

If I didn't already have a CSB for my collection, this would be the one. It's definitely the best looking Bible I have seen.

I think in csb, this bible and their verse by verse might be a great combination for daily use.

Hey Tim! Another great review! In somewhat of a comparison I have CSB Personal Size Giant Print that I really like! A little larger print, much better margin spacing, handier size…just not a “hand crafted”, even though it does have “genuine leather”! Would love to see someone make a true premium CSB with the 12 pt font!!! This is as close as I’ve seen….hope all is well!

This is the best premium single column paragraph format for the CSB! Schuyler has the best premium CSB if one doesn't mind double columns, but Schuyler is also the most expensive, at least double the cost of this one. The Holman Handcrafted is excellent for its price point. And the CSB is a very solid translation. If the ESV and the NIV got married and had a baby, it'd be the CSB. 😊

Got to look at one of these in person at the For The Church conference in Kansas City. Looked and felt really nice, but if I'm spending that much cash I figured I might as well save a little more and go even higher end

Hi Dwayne, great to hear from you! Glad KZbin gave you the video on your feed. I haven't been posting as many videos lately, but hopefully the algorithm won't punish me too much! 😂

As I’m watching this, it sounds like just like the translation. This premium Bible is gonna be the world’s “okayist” Premium Bible. On a side note’s, I really do enjoy the CSP translation as I know you do as well.

Thanks for the review and comparison to other options! I had both the saddle leather version (paste down synthetic liner, not Holman Handcrafted Collection version but real leather) and this slate calfskin. I actually gave the slate calfskin away because the saddle leather version, to me, appears to have thicker paper and feels better constructed. Unfortunately, these new HHC (Holman Handcrafted Collection) editions aren't nearly as nice and "premium" feeling as their earlier editions like the single column wide-margin in goatskin yet they're still asking a fair amount for them. Thomas Nelson/Zondervan Premier Collection Bibles have better/thicker paper, leather, text blocks, etc. to me and they're usually around the same price point. They're both printed in China but the Thomas Nelson/Zondervan options are a step above in my opinion. Edit: I will say that the new HHC NASB 2020 Single Column Personal Size in black goatskin has a better feel for the cover, jury is out on the paper though, still not as nice as the older HHC edition paper, just got one for a friend.

We need something like this in the Spanish NBLA.

Yeah, I think Holman's strong suit is providing the best value for the money. Sure, it may not be the same quality as a heritage or a Schuyler, but for around the low to mid $100s, you can't go wrong!

I just got this copy in the slate gray but the cover seems to crack a lot. I have the burgundy in the two column personal size and it doesn't crack at all. Trying to get in contact with Christian book to get a replacement in burgundy

That gutter space, eek. If they had fixed it more noticeably here, I'd get one!
@benallen596710 күн бұрын
I bought this and had to go through 2 of them to get one that was OK. Still the worst bound and worst gilt “premium” I’ve ever seen. The paper and printing is great… but man… it’s seriously rough.

My first thought was, the inside margin is way too narrow. (Especially for a Bible costing that amount of $.) As to the translation, I've heard of it but had never read it. So a short time ago I looked up Psalm 23. It made my eyes bleed! Sure, it's clear. But wow, there was no sense of the beauty of the poetry. But, hey, if it works for people, more power to them!
@Purvis-dw4qf2 ай бұрын
Okay, it is a single-column but the notes are double-column.

The reason im posting is, is for information purposes. Nothing more. As many of you know there a super popular Bible translation out these days. The ESV. Its gain so much popularly that many are calling it the KJV of our time. Like the KJV catholics are even using the ESV even going as far as to create there own edition of it. Now cathoilcs using the KJV i can understand. After all during the rule of King James they had to find some way to fit into a society that was under the rule of a king that didnt care too much for the cathoilc denomination. But why the ESV? What was so special about the ESV that some cathoilc felt the need to not only have one but make there own edition of it ?
