How good is Land Lubber now? | Hearthstone Battlegrounds

Land Lubber used to be a game winning comp and it was nerfed for a good reason. With the new update out, it's still not exactly clear which comps are the best. Land Lubber comp is no exception so I tried out the good old Tier 4 strategy. It did do well but how well you can see for yourself

You don’t need to go infinite for lubber to be useful just playing Azerite without the dragon and tempest can be good and doesn’t require insane apm. Last season it had higher skill floor than it does now. Still requires understanding of the game but it isn’t as difficult has temporal tampering lubber was

Instead of doing this with lubber, you can do it with fellboar + tavern 3 naga that gives tavern 2 spells. So many ways to abuse tavern 4 naga/drake

on EU servers with a crappy laptop and wifi instead of stable internet, this comp is impossible to play for me :( he does so many interactions in the last 3 seconds of every round. anything i do in a turn has to be done 4 seconds before the end of the round otherwise the cards flip back into my hand

rock rock is turbo trash tier, it scales incredibly slow and inconsistently + the animations take decades to resolve

Even with guaranteed "brann", early t4, great APM, great connection and hardware and commitment to the strat beforehand he was just saved by the luck. In my eyes the strat is not viable unless you are desperate.

Elementals is my favorite APM comp with no payoff, or scaling, or scam. Best Ele comp is to play lubber and Azerite, and actual good minions

I had a nice lubber high roll on 3 game on tokie, discovered a wraith at 3 on 3, into next 3 buys being neo nomis, into a lubber from the triple. Lobby went super fast, had a 160/160 cyclone turn 8, everyone died real fast, until turn 12 (!?!) my 300/300 board lost to infinite pirates, fml. Didn't even consider the possibility of losing, given I went turns 8-11 without losing more than 1 unit a combat

Yeah that's like 50% of games. Either entire lobby is high rolling and dying before they get quills or pirates going. Or they actually hit the high roll because of lucky matchups and tripples. Now you're playing for 2nd or 3rd.

I never comment like this, but the music is really annoying and detracts from the gameplay. At 4:50 when I am trying to chill and watch the transition there is a sound that I can best describe as an out of tune, off beat chime that just keeps playing for maybe 30 seconds. It sounds really awful, like two songs playing at once. The editing is normally pretty good -- please try to find music that sounds more like the piano music jeef plays during his streams, or even nothing at all.

That chime music is what Jeef plays for himself. We could hear it only when he is talking or making enough noise to enable his microphone (his streaming app doesn't capture the music). That normally isn't a problem because the chime music is in a low enough volume to not be noticeable. I always think it’s dumb of someone to act that way. They assume what the person asking questions is dumb but the person assuming isn’t smart enough to know that its obvious that not everyone knows the “common knowledge” hence why they asked in the first place.
