I’ll be in the Maldives in a while and I’ll take photos proraw and videos 4k 60fps in a 30-metre dive with iPhone 16 pro, divevolk seatouch 4 max plus and 1 LetonPower L12 8000 Lumens diving torch... do you say it will be good as a setting to take photos and quality like the videos shown in this video of yours? I’m undecided whether or not to take an arm to move the flashlight away, in order to avoid backscattering..... what do you think? Thanks a lot

Nice video. Video quality is so good and white balance looks more accurate than action cams. Did you leave the setting to auto? And what lighting setup or strobe did use you for those macro shots? Thanks for sharing.

Yes, all settings on auto. As for the lighting I used one SL50 video light from Divevolk (bit.ly/3YuJOcX).

The Seatouch 4 Max+ is the new version. And yes, it’s the one recommended to be used with the iPhone 16 Pro lineup. 👍🏻

I was thinking of getting the Olympus tg-7 for macro photo and video but now I’m thinking of just going for underwater housing for 16 pro. I bet it does good macro photo and video eh?

@dinnersat630 it definitely does. The 5x lens is quite cool and then you can also use macro wet lenses to improve the macro capabilities even more. 😁

Hi Mathias as someone that shoots with the iphone 15 pro do you use the feature to LOCK the white balance that's in the iphone video settings? I find this helps when shooting close to the surface with the reflections from the sun but keen to know your thoughts. Thanks again and great video!

Hey buddy, yes absolutely. I would always use that feature as I don't like the automated WB shift during recording. It can ruin a perfectly good shot and if you're trying to color correct a shot that has a WB shift in the middle, that's a nightmare. So yes, I always lock WB while recording.

@guicostadiveazores all the wide angle shots were taken just with ambient light. On the Macro shots I used 1 SL50 video light from Divevolk (5000 Limen) and on the night dive shots 2 SL50s, one on each side.

I am going to upgrade to the 16pro and I would like to keep using the divevolk but I do not see a compatible tray. Do you know if it is possible to use the seatouch 4 with the iphone 16pro? From what I know, yes it should be possible, as long as it isn't the 16 Pro Max. I would contact the Divevolk support at [e-mail] and ask about the appropriate tray option. I'm pretty sure they will be able to help you.

Hi Would it be possible for you to do a HDR video test with iPhone 16 pro max ? HDR video has incredible brightness and dynamic range but I don't see many professional drivers or photographers making HDR video and also wonder is it a had idea particlly under specific depth?

@SL1984_ all the footage was taken in HDR but then converted to SDR in post. As by far not all monitors are capable of displaying HDR content at the time being I find it better to transform the HDR content into SDR myself rather than have each device doing it themselves with usually less ideal results.
