Princess Cruises Food 2023
Situated on Decks 6 and 5, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan restaurants are the primary dining venues on Discovery Princess. During port stops, at least one dining room serves breakfast, and on sea days, there's a sit-down lunch option. The menus are consistent across all three venues, and their decor shares similarities, although the aft-facing Ketchikan Dining Room offers a slightly more upscale atmosphere. The menus change daily, and there's an "Always Available" section featuring favorites like chicken, salmon, and steak. During the Alaska season, the Wild for Alaska Seafood menu allows guests to enjoy Alaska seafood dishes every night in the main dining rooms. This includes a variety of Alaska salmon, such as King (Chinook), Sockeye, and Coho, along with wild Alaska cod, halibut, rockfish, Dungeness crabs, wild spot prawns, and razor clams.
princess Cruises' Dine My Way provides guests with the flexibility to choose between a traditional or freestyle dining approach. You can opt for a fixed dining time or make reservations as per your schedule, and you have the choice of a private table or dining with others.
Across all dining venues, there's a consistent rotating menu that changes daily, including Princess Favorites like pasta, salmon, and chicken options. The second formal night offers the indulgence of lobster, and among our favorite dishes were the succulent beef tenderloin, duck a l’orange, signature pasta creations, beef wellington, baked Alaska, and delectable caramel pecan cheesecake.
If you're inclined to explore multiple appetizers or savor two main courses, feel free to do so! Our experience showed that the attentive waitstaff were accommodating and even suggested adding a lobster tail to our steak dinner when we were torn between two enticing options.
