I'm always looking at the big-hand compatibility and software side of things. Yes, it is a direct competitor to the G502 line. But I bought my Proteus Core 6 years ago for 60€ and the mouse is still running perfectly fine. A new many-button mouse would have to compete with that. And yes, a lighter version (sub 90g) with that amount of buttons would be great. In terms of buttons I would really miss the pair next to the left main button. That is a really practical and comfortable position that I frequently use.
