There is no gender pay gap. Maybe a gender earning gap, due to women taking time off for maternity, but we don't have a gender pay gap.

Thanks Tom for your message, for me what is important is that there is equal pay for equal jobs (considering experience, qualifications etc), the gender pay gap is a slightly flawed metric as if the company has a male CEO and predominantly male board it can skew the figures

@@Dean-Edward Not sure this interpretation of the figures is correct, using the median when discussing gender pay will nullify the effect of outliers (at both ends, high and low incomes). What will affect the figures is the distribution of each gender across the different sectors of employment, to create a meaningful comparison the median earnings within a sector should be considered - ideally as an overlapping distribution if you can get the data
