People say "he was a world class attacking midfielder with elite striker ability... Or maybe it was the other way around." he was a legend. Only Baggio beats him when it comes to Italian forwards. They also call him "the man who conquered the world without ever leaving his city.“

@SonnyK2483 жыл бұрын
@@SpiritualSimon First off Baggio was in a tier of his own. No Italian forward has ever come close to his level. I also wouldn't put Totti and Del Piero on the same level either. Del Piero was a fantastic player but I think there were periods of Totti's career where you could argue that he was the best player on the planet or at the very least the best forward. I don't think Del Piero was ever thought about that highly. Totti had the touch of a Zidane or a Dennis Bergkamp but was also lethal in front of goal. He's the Serie A all time top scorer and he played a lot of his career as a number ten. If he had gone to Madrid in 2004 when they were his signature away from signing him I think he would have become as big for them as Zidane was.
@badsolja12 жыл бұрын
@Wayne conway You smoking that good shit How’s del piero never thought of that highly ? Lol He was arguably better than Totti prior to his injury Del piero is the same player who forced baggio to find another club He was that good Del piero was la Juve star in 1997 edging everyone in his team including zidane and he considered the best player in the planet that period He was obviously a world class And one of the best ever But if you wanna talk about pure striker Totti , del piero and Roberto baggio they aren’t pure strikers They played like number 10 behind striker most of their careers With some exception Totti flourished as goal scorer with spaletti who deployed him as striker behind the striker to support and they support him back He talked about it in 2006/2007 kicker magazine about spaletti role he allowed him to score more goals I’m not saying del piero better but he definitely was on that level if he wasn’t for his injury in 1998/1999 season

As a roman and Roma fan I can tell you Totti has an almost divine position in my mind and heart. He was there for most of my life as my captain, through most of the important milestones of my own life. My friends and I would watch him\Roma every Sunday and during the week if there were cup matches; he will always be liked to my love for Roma, for a long time they were the same thing. In my opinion he's the GOAT, if you don't agree it's because you're not from Rome and you can't understand. As to a little more insight into that Real Madrid deal is that Totti actually received a blank check from Florentino Perez, that got back a letter from Totti saying he loved Roma too much (because of family, friends and fans), but that he was honoured. Years later after Totti's last game at Bernabeu Perez would ask Totti for a signed jersey with request: "From the only player to say no to Real Madrid, Francesco Totti". He was an amazing player, with strength and vision; passing and shooting with both feet. Always simple and elegant, trying to steal time from the opponent and match it self with no look, first touch, 30 m passes; being able to destroy the net as easily as chipping in from out side the penalty area. I could go on forever about what he means to me and the city, how good of a player he was (and probably still is) and stories about him. But I'll just say Forza Roma and long live my one and only Captain Francesco Totti.

I am an Italy supporter first and foremost. Secondly his Loyalty to the team he supported as a boy is admirable. He could have gone anywhere and made more money and win more trophies. Instead he stayed loyal to the team that he always supported. Can’t hate a man who is like that.

I started watching Soccer in 2008-2009 season I was 7 years old and I got into fifa at that time as well. One day I just looked at romas crest scrolling through teams in the game and I loved the jerseys as well the team just seemed interesting to me. I start playing fifa loving totti de Rossi and others, all the sudden I find myself watching Roma games. One game that I will never forget is Roma vs Bayern Munich in the UCL in the 2010-2011 season. We were down 0-2 and it’s tied 2-2 de Rossi levels it, totti comes on makes a difference and scores a penalty in the last five minutes, he is the man for the big occasion he’s done it his whole career. As a Roma fan he is the reason why he will always be my favorite player of all time. He didn’t go for fame or money, he choose his heart and head, scored in the biggest games, always gave 100%, never left when we had dark time, I don’t want to be biased bc I support the team and him but I haven’t seen a player after him that is like that

Fantastic player. He was on the cover of PES4. Never watched Roma play, but I remember my elders mentioning his name. Its a cool name as well, coz I've never heard of it too. Growing up in England, Italian football wasn't glamorised as much & no internet to check player highlights. All the stats were on the Ps2 PES games to know how good a player was. Only time I saw him play were during the world cups & euros. I think his prime years were from 04-10.
@Elmario0213 жыл бұрын
His prime was from 2000 till 2015 when he was the game changer. In 2001 he lead the club to the title and in those 2000s he was woted several times as the best player in italy and italian player. And after 2011 when the club was sold and got weaker, he was the man pulling the strings on the pitch. It is hard to tell when his prime time was because under every coach he was used in a diffrent way and in a diffrent position with diffrent tasks and every time he produced. When he was younger he had more agility but later he was more complete because of the experience..Diffrent times, diffrent Totti.
