MJ was a KILLER. Never flopped. Never cried. Never gave up on his team.

I played basketball and I always marveled at one thing about Michael Jordan. Forget the scoring, he was the best defensive player I have ever seen in my entire life! The way he could block the passing Lane and pick off passes was just unbelievable. And not only that, his hand checking you couldn't get away from him. He is/was the best and is the goat! What an athlete! Nice to see the respect that he got from all of the great players. Because they knew who he was and what they were seeing

Kenny Smith put it PERFECTLY. MJ was just so fundamentally superior to everyone else. His feel and instincts were so much different from the rest of the game. Like he was 20 seconds ahead into the future. Just jaw dropping stuff. Truly was.

King Con is not retired yet. When he finally does you'll hear about how he was locked up by a past his prime 6’7 185 lbs. Bruce Bowen in 2007 Finals when Spurs swept him. You'll hear about when Dan Gilbert called him a quitter after 2010 playoffs vs Boston and how Celtics players said they "broke" him. You'll hear about his Chernobyl reactor size meltdown in 2011 Finals vs Mavs when he was outplayed by a low-fueled jet of a role player and how he was criticized by a teammate (House) for quitting in a multitude of games. You'll hear about how a teammate (Chalmers) called him a bitch during a timeout of a 2013 regular season game vs Pacers cause he was ballin' too passively and not bringin' the heat in a flash ala Wade. You'll hear how in 2013 Finals the Spurs defensive strategy was to allow him to shoot from outside three feet. You'll hear how in Game 7 of 2016 Finals at half-time in locker-room in front of the whole team coach (Lue) stepped to him and said "Stop being so passive. Be aggressive, shoot the ball, guard Draymond and stop turning the ball over. You have to be better bro.” I'm sure a lot more will be talked about when he retires. It just won't be reverence like MJ.

If a prime MJ would walk on the court right now, all these players today would get shook.

I agree that there will never be another Michael Jordan. It's been over 20yrs since the last time he stepped on the court. And still no one has out scored Michael Jordan. If young Michael Jordan was able to to come to the NBA today, he'd dominated every team. He'd even dominate LeBron by 50 to 55. Michael Jordan was and always will be the G.O.A.T

Imagine Lebron coming to the hole against the Pistons, Celtics etc. You see what they were doing to Mike and he still was scoring 50 - 60 points after being brutalized

MJ is 0-6 against Bird in playoff games. He didn't start winning championships until Bird retired. Think about it.

@johnman8647, of course, you gave no context to your statement. M.J. faced a H.O.F. starting Boston roster. Michael did not have a team to compete with the Celtics, 76's, and Pistons at that point in his career. The Bulls were able to draft MJ because they were so awful. Boston "getting old" had nothing to do with his lack of playoff success against them. He simply lacked adequate TEAMMATES to contend with the top teams. It's a TEAM sport. When he got a good supporting cast (Scottie, Horace developed and added Bill Cartwright and others) him and the Bulls were then able to compete. It's not his fault that the Celtics were on the decline, just like it's not his fault (as evidenced by his magnificent playoff performances against them) that his team could not beat one of the greatest teams ever. When he got a team - HE BEAT EVERYONE IN HIS WAY.
