I have been a season ticket holder for Gonzaga for 15 years and was able to watch Brynna light it up on the floor. Chicago is getting not only a great player but a great person who will do great things for them. Also has the quickest shot release I have ever seen.

I agree and I think a lot of these teams are underestimating the fanatical fanbase these players have developed over their college careers. Most people are not WNBA fans. Sad but true. We can look at the viewership numbers and see that. If the WNBA doesn't capitalize on the fanfare of these new recruits, they are going to squander this golden opportunity. Even Kate Martin, I know she's not on the team yet but just look at her Insta likes on the Aces posts. Anything that has to do with Kate Martin is off the charts but the Aces didn't release ONE video of Kate Martin from day 1 training camp. I don't care if you are going to keep her or not, you HAVE to use the publicity. I think with new players, the WNBA needs new marketing people, too. These people must be old and tired. Get someone in there with enthusiasm and someone who understands and can foresee the massive changes these players represent. You have to remove the old guard if you want to grow the league.

I think there are a select group of people Candace let know about her retiring before she announced it. So, I think that’s why the Aces and Anne were able to put something together so quickly. Plus, the Aces social team and organization is top tier. And the people respected her enough to not do like the ESPN folks do and let her make her announcement. I could be very wrong, but it makes sense to me. 😊

Chicago like many WNBA teams are in Pro Cities w/ Multiple Teams; Too much competition and Debt risk trying with or w/ o the Bulls support to fill the Big arenas; The best move for the Current & potential new teams is to go to Mid / Power 5 College Towns w/ Money & great Facilites, particularly ones w Smaller venues to Eliminate Debt Risk, & play "selected" games @ Bigger arenas; The Sky need to re-locate to ILLINOIS or NORTHWESTERN U both Financially Stable; Another Example is skipping Charlotte and putting a team in Durham or Chapel Hill, the latter of which has 2 Arenas; Use Carmichael @ UNC & Cameron @ Duke 10 M apart btw, to share Home Games, and the Bigger Dean Smith Center, (the "Dean-Dome" for scheduled Big Matchups & over-flowing Ticket Sales Same concept 4 other teams where you play a few "Away" in-state Home Games @ a bigger College Arena like a Squad in Wichita going to K. Lady Q + Miss Q not sure I can agree with you on Cardoso assessment. To me she plays smaller than 6'7" + has a introvert personality. Think she will struggle mightily unlike Angel.

No way, if she plays how she does in FIBA she will be good. When I watch her play during FIBA with Brazil she actually uses post moves 😂 I think she will do fine and her height is enough to deter some shots and grab upwards of 8 rebounds per game

The officiating is horrible in the NCAA and it didn’t allow her physically to come through so she was forced to adjust. She will also benefit from the defensive 3 second rule in the WNBA I would imagine.

@audriwilliams7943 you're kinda making my point. . she is comfy there in Nat'l team where she been for yearsp. Coach Staley said she is extremely introverted and you have to pull words out of her sometimes.. so asking for help--especially as a rook will be a challenge. Whereas Angel is just a sponge + a self starter. Cardoso came on strong during tourney time but her szn averages were not impressive and she played A LOT. . even with South Carolina's depth. Which speaks to her lack of dominance. Angel gon do something to standout and make a difference. Sometimes Kamilla just tries to fit in and won't necessarily go out of her way to impose herself. She should get there eventually--which is her track record.. I just know traditional BiGs are typically the hardest position to find footing at the next level. Almost need a super mean streak as a BiG to come in and dominate off the bat. But she runs the floor quite well which is a MAJOR positive to get her going.
